We gathered for a wedding reception for our sister and her husband. The Paradiso room was perfect for the celebration. With the warmth of the fire and tiny white lights surrounding beautiful fresh plants and flowers, it felt like we were in a tropical garden. The room was exquisite and the atmosphere was even better. There were beautiful palms in the room with cozy chaise lounges to snuggle on to enjoy the fireplace. The room service was excellent and we enjoyed fresh fruit, juice, fresh ground coffe, cereal, and warm pastries each morning. We opened our beautiful window/doors to over look the Paradiso room which always had beautiful sounds coming from the fountain and soft music surrounding each seating area. The warm flames from the fire pit made it enjoyable to sit around and talk with family and friends. Although we didn't have a massage this time, the room was so inviting and the aroma was heavenly. We are sending our daughter and her husband there for four days on their honeymoon in May.

My husband and I stayed at this adorable Inn when we came to Sonoma for a friend's wedding. It's just off the Sonoma Square--close enough to shop and eat, but far enough to be off the beaten path. The staff was lovely, thoughtful and so helpful. The room was wonderfully kept and clean and had all the amenities we needed (and more). I'd HIGHLY recommend The Cottage Inn and Spa to anyone heading to Sonoma for some wine tastings!

A perfect location for a honeymoon, or a weekend away with your favorite friend! The Vineyard View room felt like we were in our own home. The double door opened out to a beautiful view, especially in the very, very early morning when the fog was creeping up the hillsides. We slept with the doors open and even though it was chilly outside, the bed was very warm with all the layers of blankets. The jet tub in the middle of the room, and the two divans in the front of the fireplace were added luxuries.

The location was nice as well. Leave the car out front and walk to the plaza for dinner and drinks.

We can't wait to go back.

This quiet retreat is one block walk from downtown in a quiet residential area. A hiking/biking trail is just steps away. The fire/water lounge area is just as depicted, lovely and relaxing.

Beds, pillow, linens, are top notch. Good soundproofing. Nice robes.

We stayed in the East Suite, it looks exactly like the photos. Front desk assistance was friendly and pleasant. Nice jacuzzi tub for two, the fireplace is in clear view from the hot tub, a nice touch. A fire log was provided for each evening, they worked very well and made for a cheerful fire with little effort and no tending.

Room includes a coffee maker, microwave, mini fridge. The complimentary continental breakfast is perfectly delightful. Juice, milk and half.and.half are stocked in the fridge each day. The small dining table is set for two. A variety of fresh fruit and three kinds of cereal are set out nearby. At approximately 8am a covered basket with three very high quality pastries is placed on a hook outside the door. Three kinds of ground coffee in canisters are available. After you brew your choice of coffee, breakfast is served in pajamas and complete privacy! What a delightful system, we are spoiled forever.

The "spa" is just a massage room, although a lovely massage room. Call well in advance to secure your massage, the early and late appointments book quickly, leaving only the middle of the day (when the wineries and shops on the square in Sonoma are open). Schedule time to wander the restaurants and shops nearby, they are delightful.

Several attractive inns are located directly on the square. Note that parking will be more challenging if you arrive or return during the dinner hour or prime shopping hours, also a little more noisy. This inn located one block, perhaps three minutes, from the square but has convenient parking on the street in front of the inn.

We stayed in the Mission Suite. It was a little overpriced, but then again it was definitely because of the timing...
The atmosphere was very nice, the room was exceptionally clean. The breakfast in a basket was a nice touch and all pastries were fresh, as were the cereal, the fruit, etc. The soaking tub was very nice and the lighting was great for making it a peaceful atmosphere, though I seem to always want more lighting near the bathroom vanity. No hotel ever seems to have enough lighting there. The best part is the inn is very conveniently located to downtown Sonoma-great if you're dining or shopping downtown. I only wish it were a little more secluded as being in the Mission Suite, we were awakened early by cars driving by. This suite faces the street in a residential area just off downtown.
Other than that..yes it was a little on the quaint side, but overall it was very nice experience. I really enjoyed the beautiful and relaxing water fountain in the evenings. That was a nice touch.
