Description: Fresh, Inventive Mediterranean and Iberian Cuisine in the heart of the Sonoma Valley Wine Country. Seafood and Portuguese Cuisine are our specialties. We offer a unique variety of fresh local and imported seafood specials daily including whole fish. The seafood selections on our menu are complimented by a variety of meat dishes ranging from the popular Pork Tenderloin stuffed with almonds, olives and figs to the, hard to find, Tripe Porto Style. Many of these dishes come steaming hot out of the wood-burning oven and fill the dining room with the exotic aromas of true Mediterranean cuisine. The menu reflects the commitment of Chef and Owner Manuel Azevedo to creating the unique culinary delights of his native Portugal and its neighbors. LaSalette Restaurant is proudly one of Zagat Surveys top rated restaurants in Sonoma. See our web site for the complete menu and a look inside our dining room, which features an open kitchen and decor that sends you back in time to old Lisbon.

“Something a little different”

We have been going to Sonoma for a long time and for some reason had never tried La Salette. We decided to forgo our tried and true restaurant to experience a taste of Portugal. By chance the two end seats along the "counter" in front of the open kitchen were available. We were able to see all the dishes and plates being expertly prepared. I sat about 2 feet from the wood fired oven and was amazed to watch everything being cooked to perfection. We ordered fisherman's stew and stuffed pork tenderloin. Fantastic! We are foodies, and these complex and different flavors were a real treat. The restaurant is small, quaint, and friendly. We have a reservation to dine there again very soon.

The food was excellent. We tried a variety of dishes including the tasters, And found every single one to be spectacular. They have a very unique flavor and style.
I would like point out that service was flawless. There was a misunderstanding with the corkage fee and even though we were perfectly willing to pay the fee, they still waived it. This sort of acts are what separates the very best from the very good. I most definitely recommend this restaurant. Perfect for wine pairing.

“Best flavors and service”
Reviewed April 17, 2014

When you travel to the wine country in Northern California, lunch or dinner at La Salette in Sonoma is a MUST. This restaurant has without question, the very best combination of flavors in a meal. For 8 years, my wife and I have consistently come back to La Salette knowing it matches or beats any other restaurant in the North Bay. The Portugese motif is a perfect combination of tastes without over-the-top sauces, seasonings or prices. The service is personal and very well presented. A GREAT FIND!!!

i Live in Sonoma and have the choice of many fine restaurants but the best is La Salette. The ambiance is charming, the service superb, and the food always interesting, varied, and first rate.
