We have been going to Sonoma for a long time and for some reason had never tried La Salette. We decided to forgo our tried and true restaurant to experience a taste of Portugal. By chance the two end seats along the "counter" in front of the open kitchen were available. We were able to see all the dishes and plates being expertly prepared. I sat about 2 feet from the wood fired oven and was amazed to watch everything being cooked to perfection. We ordered fisherman's stew and stuffed pork tenderloin. Fantastic! We are foodies, and these complex and different flavors were a real treat. The restaurant is small, quaint, and friendly. We have a reservation to dine there again very soon.
