Description: Fresh, Inventive Mediterranean and Iberian Cuisine in the heart of the Sonoma Valley Wine Country. Seafood and Portuguese Cuisine are our specialties. We offer a unique variety of fresh local and imported seafood specials daily including whole fish. The seafood selections on our menu are complimented by a variety of meat dishes ranging from the popular Pork Tenderloin stuffed with almonds, olives and figs to the, hard to find, Tripe Porto Style. Many of these dishes come steaming hot out of the wood-burning oven and fill the dining room with the exotic aromas of true Mediterranean cuisine. The menu reflects the commitment of Chef and Owner Manuel Azevedo to creating the unique culinary delights of his native Portugal and its neighbors. LaSalette Restaurant is proudly one of Zagat Surveys top rated restaurants in Sonoma. See our web site for the complete menu and a look inside our dining room, which features an open kitchen and decor that sends you back in time to old Lisbon.

“Wonderful meals - two times”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 8, 2011

This wonderful restaurant is located at the end of one of those sidewalk alleys off the square, lined with shops and boutiques. There was a comfortable outdoor seating area that was shady and beneath the olive trees, which is where we chose to sit. We had wonderful lunch there, the day we arrived in Sonoma. My wife had mussels and I had fusion dish that was similar to Paella. Both were wonderfully presented and were excellent. We brought a Sonoma Pinot Noir with us and it was perfect. We enjoyed our lunch so much that we asked our waiter to arrange a reservation for us that evening, for an encore performance. The evening meal was just as amazing, with my wife having a salmon dish, and I enjoying another seafood combination. You cannot go wrong with La Salette.

“There was moaning at the table, that's how good it was”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 31, 2011

Our group of 4 just ate here, paying bill now actually and we had a great meal! Three of the four had meals that we would call an A++ and the fourth (veggie plate) a B-. Pork tenderloin, the Brazilian dish, and the seafood bowls were outstanding!!!

“Perfect romantic restaurant for a nice celebration”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 27, 2011

We ended up sharing two appetizers and a tapas plate and salad - and that was a perfect dinner for us both. The menu is creative, the food delicious and the service wonderful. Tucked away off the square, this is a real find!

“underwhelmed at lunch”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 24, 2011

The service and ambiance at this off the square restaurant was nice, but overall I was dissapointed. We dined on a bottle of dry rose and tried the tapas plate. The rose was a bit of a dissapointment after all the delicious wines we had enjoyed over our stay. The food was a bit on the skimpy side and unfortunately the salty dishes were too salty, other tapas a bit bland.
The restaurant shares a bathroom outside with other vendors, which I thought a bit tacky for the prices this upscale restaurant is dishing out.

“try the scallop starter - delicious!!!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 23, 2011

Happen across LaSalette by chance. An attractive restaurant with an interesting menu. The restaurant was quiet as it was a Monday night, but the service was excellent - quick and efficient without being intrusive. The baked ( in their wood oven) scallop starter was incredible. One of the best scallop dishes I have ever had. Expectation were therefore high for the mains. My pork dish was beautifully presented and sounded delicious on the menu, however it was all a bit sweet for my palette. My wife loved her polenta veggie dish. Overall and nice meal and a fair price.
