This is a must see if your child is studying California missions, The Cline family has preserved models of all the Ca. Missions as well as fine paintings of them. A little history is given for each one, The lovely golden stained glass windows from the mission in San Francisco are absolutely beautiful, and the building they are set in is spectacular. Well worth a visit for all to see. Another slice of life of old California which has been preserved. Thanks!!!

Stumbled on this while at Cline Cellars and what a treat! Beautiful replicas of all the missions. Fascinating history. Free! The curator is very knowledgeable

As long as we were on the grounds of the Cline Cellars (which we enjoyed very much) we went into the museum. (There is a small sign that points to the museum, which is in back of the main building). The museum, which is free but which accepts donations, is a small room that has models of California missions with a bit of accompanying information. The models were very nicely done, and if you have a real interest in the California missions, they might be of interest. There were a few artefacts there also. There was a woman at the desk who was reading a magazine. Because she seemed pre-occupied, I figured the museum is a visual place only, not a place to ask questions. Perhaps if the person at the desk would greet people to ask if they have any questions, there might be more to learn, which would make the visit more worthwhile. If you have an interest in the missions, and if you are having a leisurely visit to the wineries, you might want to stop in, but if you are trying to fit in a certain number of wineries on your visit, then this is not a "must-see" place.
