“Excellent food, fresh and original”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 5, 2013

Intimate restaurant with about 10 tables and a counter facing the kitchen. We've eaten here several times and it never disappoints. We enjoyed fresh cod over greens and fingerling potatoes, quail over wilted swiss chard and potatoe puree, and chicken dumplings, all specials that day. Very good service. Make sure to use Open Table and make a reservation.

“Not our first choice”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2013

Not overly impressed with this visit. We visited this establishment a year ago and thought their service was not to standard. We felt maybe it was an off night during our last visit. La Haye was recommended by several people so we figured we had better give it another opportunity. Well, we did, and we won't be trying it again. Our server was pleasant, but our food we would have to classify as average.

“So Delicious!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 16, 2013

My daughter and I made a quick trip to Sonoma recently and had a delicious dinner and delightful experience at Cafe La Haye. Located just off the main square, we were so impressed with the quality, freshness, and originality of each course of our memorable meal.
The menu is thoughtfully created daily from fresh and local ingredients. There were a handful of great selections for carnivores and vegetarians alike complimented with an impressive wine list featuring many local wineries. We shared a scrumptious appetizer and we each had a delicious salmon entree which was cooked perfectly. For dessert, we shared a rich caramel cake with spectacular ice cream. The restaurant is intimate and offers an inviting ambiance for couples, friends or any small gathering. Additionally, the owner Saul and our server couldn't have been more hospitable and helpful.
Don't miss Cafe La Haye when you're in the area. We will definitely be back!

“Yummy!”

Thankfully I made reservations here as the place is TINY! We had early reservations and were promptly seated. Everything about our visit was great, great food, service, location, and decor. If i recall the only thing that we wished for is that the portions were a little bit bigger. My husband was still hungry when we left. Other than that it was tasty!

“Best dinner on our trip”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 4, 2013

Cafe La Haye is a must do when visiting Sonoma. The menu is not large but what they do, they do extremely well. The pork chop is incredible & now after ordering it, I will always make that my selection!! The beef carpaccio appetizer & dessert choice of butterscotch pudding were both outstanding as well.

The place is very small so reserve a few weeks in advance. Corkage was reasonable and many people bring their own bottles.
