“Perfect and Lovely”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2013

My husband and I stayed at the Inn at Sonoma for 4 days in April. It is such a lovely, quiet little place with nice homey touches. We loved the fireplace in our room, the afternoon wine and cheese and the rooftop hot tub. There were even balloons and a little box of chocolates in our room waiting for us for my birthday. It is in the perfect location-a short stroll to Sonoma square. The breakfast was more substantial than your run of the mill continental breakfast. There was always an egg dish and home baked goods, fresh fruit, yogurt and cereals. Nice way to start the day but I could see it getting repetitive after a few days. The receptionist was very helpful with getting our wine shipped though she didn't have much knowledge about filling out the forms. All in all we had a lovely stay and would highly recommend the Inn at Sonoma for anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing place to unwind after driving around wine country!

Great small inn 2 blocks from the town's main square. Breakfast was very nice with a different featured dish each day along with a nice selection of cold items and fresh fruit. Wine with snacks from 5-6:30 used it as a time to chat with others. Fresh cookies on the table by the newspapers was a nice touch. There was a definite different "vibe" between being a guest during the week and the weekend. Our room was nicely appointed with comfortable bed and furnishings. The inn is remodeling an adjacent building to add more rooms but there was no noise from that so don't be deterred by it.

Sonoma is much smaller than Napa or Healdsburg but was perfect for us. Take a walk around the lovely neighborhood behind the inn.

Room Tip: The rooms in the back on first floor have no view except for a hedge but are quiet and cool.......an...

Peaceful location, small and intimate. Our room was wonderful, had a fireplace and small balcony. The staff was very helpful and friendly, food was excellent. The breakfast was different every day, delicious, with afternoon wine and cheese, and fresh baked cookies every afternoon too. We absolutely loved it!!

Room Tip: We were on the second floor, back of the building, it overlooked a day care center. It was quiet at...

We spent two nights at the Inn at the beginning of April, it is in a great location really close to the centre of Sonoma and the staff on the desk were very helpful in suggesting dinner locations and helping us book a winery tour. The wine and nibbles in the afternoon were a great touch and e really enjoyed using the hot tub on the patio upstairs after a hard day wine tasting! I would recommmend spending the extra on a king room with a balcony upstairs, it was lovely to have our own space. Good and interesting selection for breakfast, everything felt fresh and homemade. It wasn't a cheap stay but you do get what you pay for...

Room Tip: I think paying the extra for a king room with a big balcony is worth the money

We were very pleasantly surprised at how lovely the inn was. the people on the phone at booking were very pleasant and the front desk staff were great.
Rooms were very welcoming, bright and clean.
Would definitely go back and stay longer, would have been nice if someone hosted the wine tasting but we enjoyed the atmosphere and the morning breakfast were great .
definitely recommend it to others

Room Tip: we had a street facing room and it was bright and sunny back side over looks a school area

This Inn was located within walking distance of downtown Sonoma and a quick bike ride to wineries. It's a lovely Inn with some nice touches. They have a wine and cheese hour with great cheeses and crackers and choice of white or red wine. Nice patios to sit on and enjoy the wine. Next morning there was a wonderful breakfast waiting for us. It was soooo good. We both loved it. The staff were friendly and provided bicycles (offered on a first come first served basis) for us to cycle to some nearby wineries. The rooms were clean and lovely! I really enjoyed my stay and would definately come back again. Loved California and Sonoma as well. Don't know what took me so long to book a vacation to this lovely area!

We stayed at the Inn at Sonoma for my cousin's wedding. Rooms were clean and had a sitting area, with table and chairs just off the bedroom, outside. The Inn was very quiet and in the process of taking over the building in front of it. Staff was helpful and extremely friendly, including clearing the tables during breakfast which featured a good selection of quish, muffins, and other goodies The King sized bed was extremely comfortable! I would highly recommend the Inn at Sonoma also for it's central location for restaurants and to the historic locations and downtown Somoma! It is a great venue for couples featuring a private location, our party of six, throughly enjoyed our two day stay.

Room Tip: Book early if you want a downstairs room as there are only 2 at this time. The hot tub/spa is on th...
