When we first pulled in, we were a little concerned. We had booked through their website and the photos were only of the rooms, so we were not prepared for the very ordinary looking exterior. But we had already booked, so we figured we would mostly be out on the town anyways and we'd only be there to sleep.
The office was nicely decorated, so we thought, well, okay we'll make the best of it.
When we opened the door to our room - WOW!!!
The rooms are comfortably decorated, they obviously spent a great deal of money upgrading. The bathrooms have high ceilings, and were spacious and clean. Our room was sunny and cozy, and they had even left channel cheat sheets incase we wanted to watch TV. We did not.
We spent most of our evenings there on the precious little patio under the moonlight. The fountain made for a very intimate setting. And although there was some occasional traffic noise, it was wonderful. I would stay there again, and would recommend The Sonoma Creek Inn to any other couple going to Sonoma for a few days.
