On our visit to the wine country, my wife and I stayed two nights at this wonderful inn. The location was just on the outskirts of Sonoma but close enough for a less than a mile walk to the town square. The inn itself was just what we were looking for...quiet and relaxing. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. Richard's recommendation of The Swiss Hotel for dinner was perfect. The rooms were large and included a couch and recliner. Everything was immaculate in the room and the bed was extremely comfortable. A very nice continental breakfast was included in the price of the room. The pool was well maintained and relaxing at the end of the day...it was also open 24/7. If you plan on visiting the wine country, don't waste your time looking for other lodging...El Pueblo Inn is the place to stay. My wife and I were there July 28 - 30, 2014.

Room Tip: Upstairs room overlooking beautiful courtyard, balcony included.

I wouldn't call this an "upscale hotel," but I do agree that it's nicer than it looks passing by. The staff was friendly, wine offered at happy hour, and the room we had was quite comfortable. The hotel asks guests to sign a "noise compliance" form, which I think inhibits roudy wine-drinkers, and the babbling fountain also provides white noise. You can't walk to the plaza, but this isn't a bad choice for Sonoma.

Very nice hotel/smaller inn&motel, in the outskirts of Sonoma, with big rooms, nice pool/hut top and good breakfast. Close to downtown, 20 min walk, 5 min in car, but nice location on the mainraod in/out of Sonoma. Clean and nice, with very serviceminded staff.

El Pueblo Inn seemed a little pricey by my standards, but since my significant other was paying (!) and it had great TA reviews, we went with it.
And I am soooo glad we did !
The room was immaculate, spacious, with a nice fireplace and ceiling fan, and the breakfast was great.
Good location, friendly front desk workers.
Did not disappoint, worth the money !

I reviewed El Pueblo before booking our couples getaway.......WOW! The Hotel was fantastic! Room was spacious, modern, very clean - everything we needed was there. The gardens were a bonus and added to our romantic getaway. The pool area was like our very own ....with the fountains and lush garden as a beautiful backdrop. The front desk staff was very friendly - ask for Willow if you need anything additional, she was there to help us. Free Breakfast was delicious and perfect for anyone. Cannot wait to come back and visit Sonoma - and we will be returning to the El Pueblo Inn.

Room Tip: The Adobe King was fabulous
