Large outdoor venue with good beer and food. Good place for kids and dogs! Service was great and it was packed on a Sunday night.

We enjoyed the beautiful Hopmonk patio on a recent Sunday evening. It was comfortable and spacious. We had great service and enjoyed the casual dining. We shared a tasty blue cheese wedge salad, followed by the excellent grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup. To top it all off we shared the yummy ice cream sandwich, which was obviously homemade and very tasty. The beer menu was very nice and we both enjoyed our choices. Give it a try!

After 2 days of wine tasting, a beer and some bar food was just what we needed. Prices were reasonable, food was good, beer was better, and the atmosphere in the garden was great.

Wife and three older daughters (19-26) enjoyed a 8pm dinner. Menu is a nice variety of epicurean items and light eating. Portions are more than ample and some (sandwiches) are easily shared. We ate outside in the courtyard on what appeared to be a polished redwood style butcher block picnic table. Courtyard was full and indoor tables similar and staff was able to keep up easily. Would definitely recommend and return.

Several couples, one large family birthday party (had to be locals), and even pets on leash accompanied without any incidents. Pets hardly noticeable.

If doing a day in wine country, cannot go wrong ending up here for a bite to eat. Really nice people, unbelievable beer list (yes, even though its in wine country) and really terrific food for the kind of restaurant it is. Not for foodies, but they do a great job on tavern / comfort food. Their house beers are terrific and they have a big, big beer list, and you can even taste a flite of four beers for $5.00. Such a deal. A nice change after a day of wine tasting. Not fine dining by any means, but as the name says, its a tavern and a top-notch one at that. Our server on Sunday was Lauren and she was great. I also have been to the one in Novato as well and would recommend that equally.
