“So, so nice.”
Reviewed December 20, 2012

So, so nice. Centrally located in the middle of historic Sonoma. There's a playground for kids, a duck pond, and many picnic tables-- an important thing for a full day of wine tasting! There are also public restrooms which are, let's face it, also quite important!

“A great location as a hub to work from...”
Reviewed December 11, 2012

The historic Plaza in the town of Sonoma is a beautiful large park in the middle of the town of Sonoma, in Sonoma County, CA. Close to San Francisco, Napa and the Sonoma County wine country. The streets around the square Plaza have many great little shops to stop and browse through…and numerous restaurants to eat at. If you are looking for great art check out the Changing Seasons Gallery across from the Square on the southwest corner. There are other galleries but some tend to have “flexible” hours for being open (this is the wine county…relax and wait!). Speaking of wine, there are several wine tasting bars around the square and you will also find cheese purveyors and delis for sandwiches. Buy some nibbles and relax in the beautiful park like atmosphere of the Sonoma Plazza. A five star square to be sure!

“Strolling the Plaza was delightful”
Reviewed December 11, 2012

We strolled the plaza and enjoyed quaint shops and great dining! We dined at 4 restaurants on the Square. All were very memorable.

There is also a Whole Foods and CVS just 2 blocks from the Plaza which was great.

“California History”
Reviewed December 10, 2012

Excellent place to learn the history of the area, and impact of the California Missions. The plaza is bordered by shops and restaurants on all 4 sides, and the San Francisco Solano Mission, the last of the California Missions is across the street. The preservation of the local architecture is commendable.

“Easy wine tasting, shopping and culture in one area.”
Reviewed December 9, 2012

Go early Sunday morning and park for free. Have food at any of the great restaurants, taste wine at several tasting rooms, buy souvenirs, get food at Sonoma cheese factory (amazing sandwiches). Grab a beer and head to the park where it is legal to drink it outside. Great way to spend a Sunday.
