Small, but interesting, and included with your admission to the Vallejo home on the outskirts of town. Both worth a look if you're visiting.

This is one of the smaller missions but still enjoyable to see. What was especially interesting was the paintings inside depicting the various missions of California. Don't miss it while visiting Sonoma! It is right off the main square.

This easy to get to mission has much history. Easy walk from the plaza in the center of town. Admission is $3 and that gets you into the small museum, mission church and home of General Vallejo. Lots of history and also a small collection of paintings of many of the missions. An interesting part of CA history. Buildings are all together, hotel, mission, barracks, hotel; all were around when the mission was built, the fort is an interesting area also; don't miss the short video on the history of the area and the home of General Vallejo in the barracks area. Gift shop at the museum and house. Easy walk across the State park down the bike trail to the house and other buildings.

This Mission is very interesting with good historical information and (when we visited) an art exhibition of the different Missions in California painted by a local artist and donated by his son. Not a long visit but the displays and the Chapel are well worth a visit if you are spending some time in the Sonoma Plaza. You get free entry to the Barracks next door if you pay the entrance fee which is also interesting with a video presentation on the history of the area.
