Sonoma Valley is absolutely beautiful! I never knew how many vinyards there were. It would be hard to stop at them all but the ones I do recommend are "Chateau St. Jean", "BR Cohn" "Sterling" and "Mondavi" to name a few. After a day of wine tasting back to the Fairmont Hotel Mission Spa resort for spa treatments and massages before a yummy dinner at their dining room.

“Beautiful Wine Region”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 20, 2012

The Sonoma Valley is one of the state's most beautiful wine areas. There are rolling hills and wineries, punctuated with dairy farms, barns, etc. Very scenic and some very good wine. I recommend getting one of the readily available booklets on farm stands and farms that can be visited for fresh fruit and vegetables. We go multiple times per year.

“Beau Wine Tours - Sonoma”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 20, 2012

We really enjoyed our tour of Napa and Sonoma valleys. Paul Potocky was our Chauffeur/Tour Guide. Without hesitation we would highly recommend Paul. For his knowledge of the (to numerous to mention) wineries and history of the area was most interesting. A day well spent. Andy & Sue.

“Great spot to visit exceptional vineyards.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 19, 2012

This is a tremendous area if you are planning a vacation to visit vineyards. I visited a number of vineyards in the area and the wine quality was very good in each one. It also seems that the staff working at the vineyards know their wines and I found them to be very friendly. I highly recommend visiting vineyards along Olivet Road and the Russian River. I imagine most travelers to this area tend to stay to vineyards close to Sonoma but the vineyards a little further afield are well worth the trip.

“All day or all week”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 14, 2012

You could spend all day (s) just eating at the varied restaurants, cheese factories, curios, gift shops or see the historic sights like the last and only Mexican mission, where the calif. flag was designed and first flown or the largest cork oak tree in Sonoma county all around the largest plaza in Calif. Or you can use Sonoma as your base and travel to the world class wineries, olive oil producers, bakeries, Jack London park and quaint villages, within minutes of of each other. Such a paradise. and so tourist welcoming.
There is something for everyone of all ages and all budgets. You can have a $10. lunch down a quaint alley at Murphy's pub or spend $45. at Girl and the Fig. Free cheese tasting at 2 cheese producers. Or take the kids to train town.
