This is a little gem of a find. So far from the LA scene but the talent (singing and dancing) was top-notch! We enjoyed Fiddler on the Roof last night and even tho the stage is smaller and the set design is not Broadway, its the singing and dancing of the cast that was amazing.
We had gone a few days earlier but before the end of Act 1, there was a major power failure by PG&E. Since the play could not go on, the cast assembled in the darkness and with candles sang an acappella that really showed their talent. It was beautiful! We got courtesy tickets and returned a few days later to see the whole play. It was even better!
It is an outside theater, so bring layers to put on and a blanket as you will eventually be sitting under the stars! You can bring a picnic to enjoy but can't bring in any glass cups/containers, so grab a wine-in-a-box. They do sell wine by the 'plastic' glass ($8-cash only) from a local Santa Barbara winery and minimal snacks and cookies (all cash only). We enjoyed it so much we bought tickets for the next production: Spamalot.
