We happened upon this great wine tasting room during our June 2012 trip and were glad that we did! Great wines, interesting & funny owner, and a fun place to be! Don't forget to leave your chalk mark on the wall!

Our favorite wine tasting room in Solvang! Arturo is most personable and a lot of fun! The tasting room is casual and comfortable, the chalkboard walls are a great touch, some of the artwork is very impressive! We end every trip to Solvang here as he is open later than any tasting room in town. The wines are a small batch but never disappointing!

While this does not have the glamor of some of the vineyards, the wine was pretty good. The guy who owns/runs it is a character, but he's not full of nonsense like many other places. The bottles prices were more than what I would normally spend, but the merlot/cab blend was fantastic, almost regret not buying one. Would recommend stopping here for a relaxing time.

When you walk into this place, which is only about ten steps away from the Wine Valley Inn, you may underestimate how good a place it is. But once you finally leave, you will want to come back every night.

This is a special place. This is not another tasting room run by a knowledgeable employee of the winery, this is a tasting room run by the winemaker. Likely, when you enter, Arturo Sevtap will be behind the counter to great you. A hospitable man who will make you feel at home. And the friendly atmosphere of the place affects you and your fellow patrons...by the end of your tasting, you will have made a few friends from you fellow travelers, traded war stories, and got the scoop on some fantastic places to visit the next day (or to avoid.) After one night here, we had a weeks worth of places to visit and restaurants to eat in. And after one night here, we had a friend in town, who would wave and call out a hello to us, whenever we passed. When my fiancee and I come back, Arturo's place will be a nightly stop for us.

And I haven't even gotten to the wines. In my opinion, he has made some very interesting, very delicious wines. Wines that match his place, unassuming in the beginning but warm and lively and surprising in the end. My favorites: the Serendipity Sauvignon Blanc and the Hakuna Matata Merlot.

So without question, go here when you are in Solvang. And tell Arturo I said hi.
