wow... on a recent trip to solvang my family and I were actually looking forward to trying the pancake house just down from the succulent... with more than an hour long wait we headed over to this place and boy were we glad that we did! The portions were huge! the fried chicken biscuit is huge! and so good! the bacon, the biscuit, the chicken, the gravy... oh my! my friend got the bourbon french toast and that was amazing too! We are so glad we tried this place and will definitely be back :)

“Yummmmm”

Great sandwiches, fresh and hearty. Not for the faint of heart! You might considering sharing. The homemade pastrami was delicious. Nice patio, good beer selection. Counter service.

“Good Lunch”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 29, 2014

We had lunch here yesterday and enjoyed are meals very much. My wife had the pastrami sandwich with pickled fennel replacing traditional sauerkraut. She loved it! I had their meatloaf sandwich with the special tomato raspberry sauce....very good. We also like the pickled vegetables that came as a side. We ate outside on the patio with our Welsh Terrier under the table. A nice "family" lunch in a pretty setting.

“Disappointing Meal”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 25, 2014

We were expecting a lot more from this restaurant after looking at the menu on the internet, but it just did not deliver. Service was below average and for the price of entrees (well over $20 each) we expected a lot more. We were told we would be provided with some fresh biscuits which did not come even after we finished our salads. We asked for them and received a bucket of mini undercooked chewy biscuits. The Caesar salads were strange and the crouton was just dried bread. We were expected to keep our knives and forks from the salad to use for the entrees. At $100 per couple, I think the utensils should have been changed out. The short rib was well cooked but unfortunately topped with an unexpected sweet barbecue sauce. It was on a bed of congealed polenta and served with two thin sprigs of broccolini. Just not up to a $28 entrée meal. The lamb chops were medium rare but no sear on the outside which is usually how rack of lamb is served. We were disappointed and will not return.

“Excellent charcuterie and sandwiches; beautiful decor and lovely patio”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 24, 2014

I greatly enjoyed lunch seated outside in the nice patio. Their charcuterie was excellent and our sandwiches were incredible. I had a prosciutto, basil, and tomato sandwich (a "PBT") which I highly recommend. We will be back!
