“Lucky pick”
Reviewed October 18, 2013 via mobile

My wife and I chose this spot by pure chance while walking around Solvang, what a lucky choice! Our server, Melissa, was a joy, the experience was delightful, and the food was wonderful! We had a heavy lunch and wanted a light dinner. Nicois salad and margherita pizza were perfect and the wines added just the right amount of flavor to the meal. Definitely will be looking to go there again.

“The best thing I ever ate...”
Reviewed September 16, 2013 via mobile

The best thing I ever ate was here at the Succulent Cafe. I am a foodie so I don't make this statement lightly...but the Lamb with Goat Cheese Burger is the most delicious, mouth watering experience you will ever have...seasoned perfectly and cooked to perfection! Enjoy!

Anyone visiting (staying would be better as there are many restaurants around) the Solvang area and has the time needs to have a meal here...great stuff!

“Something New and Different”
Reviewed September 7, 2013

Newly re-opened restaurant in the heart of Solvang. An interesting menu, with reasonable prices and good sized portions. We had goat cheese and eggplant bruschetta (yummy), bacon wrapped scallops, a pasta, chicken, and wild mushroom dish, plus meatloaf (a bit salty). Hard to make a selection from enticing choices. Bread pudding for dessert was incredible. Meals come with mouth watering tiny, homemade biscuits. Service is efficient, but a bit disorganized. Corkage is $20 - a bit high -, but the wine list is fine. Can't wait to try it again.

“Deli style lunch was nice enough.”
Reviewed September 7, 2013

We stopped by Solvang for lunch on a Monday. We now know that there are a lot of places that are closed on Monday in Solvang and the Succulant Cafe was not our first choice for lunch. It was a nice enough place though. It's a very small deli with outside seating. The entrees are large and my husband and I commented that we should have split one order. I had the turkey sandwich and he had the burger. Nothing outstanding, just deli food. Sitting outside was nice and kinda felt like we were on a picnic. I highly recommend stopping by the information booth in the center of town. We were able to find other stops in the area to check out and enjoy as well.
