“Amazing Bolognese”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 25, 2013

We were camping in Buellton and read about Cecco's so decided to try it for dinner on a weeknight. I make a pretty good bolognese but Cecco's was truly amazing. Instead of using the standard ground veal/pork/beef they used wild board and short ribs for the meat. It was so delicious. Did not try their pizza but will try it on our next visit if I can resist ordering the bolognese!

“Try the Pizza - you'll love it!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 21, 2013

Second time at Cecco. My wife and I wanted to go back and try the pizza. We recently moved to Solvang from Santa Barbara, and we've tried almost all the pizza in SB. This was by far the best we've tasted in a long time. The crust was excellent and we had the Rocco, with chicken confit and the Cinghiale, with wild boar. We also had calamari - although I'm not a big fan of the tentacled calamari and there was more of that, than the rings, the breading was light and the aioli was very good. Once again though, I will mention the slow service in getting our wine and in taking our order. My stepson also joined us and he didn't get his second drink until we were ready to leave. This is a minor point when compared to the great pizza. Thanks to George the pizaziolo. He did a great job. We definitely will be back for more pizza.

“great pizza and calamari”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 4, 2013

We had a nice dinner here on president's day (night). we had spent the day at the Ronald Reagan library only to come in and our waitress' grandmother had cooked for the Reagans for several years at their ranch in Santa Ynez. Anyway the wild boar pizza was excellent and was the calamari. We had an excellent bottle of wine and a very nice evening. Service was great, ambience was also great. We were hoping to go back on Tuesday night, but they were closed even though the website said they were open on Tuesdays. Still had a great time.

“Pizza is made in a wood fired oven”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 24, 2013

The pizza is thin crust with lots of varied toppings including traditional and wild boar sausage. Pasta dishes are plentiful. Both locals and tourists enjoy the food here.
