“A beautiful park and a surprise waterfall”

A well maintained park with all amenities and a short climb will take you to a great, scenic waterfall (if there's been enough rain). One of the best features about the place is the road leading there. It's tree lined and you're almost sure to see a few wild animals feeding on local grasses.

This was a decent place to stop for a short walk. It was warm out but the trail is shaded so it wasn't bad. It wasn't crowded at all. Unfortunately, there is only a trickle of water at this time of year at the falls but we still enjoyed it.

Tucked away in a back road who'd have ever imagine that a tall, mossy waterfall beckons. There's not much more than a strong trickle this time of year but the path getting there was just lovely. There's enough water at the base of the waterfall to wade in or skip stones. Just lovely!

This park on ample grounds is bursting with wildlife. We saw a quail?? family foraging up close, plenty of deer and hawks over head. The trail to the falls is shorter than expected, only 15-20 minute easy walk from the trail head. In late June the falls are meager, at least there are some. Afterwards, our 11yo boys enjoyed the swing set. There is lots of open space for field games and picnics. Very different from a city park!

Lovely way to start the day on a clear June morning. The hike is only about 400m and a gradual climb. The falls are pretty unique. Plenty of parking spaces and picnic tables. Would be a nice place for lunch. With the Alisal Rd closed at the northern entry it is worth extending your walk up the road which is flanked by peaceful paddocks and tall shady trees.
