“Picnic in the woods”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

Just a short drive from Goleta on the way to San Luis Obispo.
We pack a lunch and picnic in the quiet of the park.
Needs better upkeep.

“Nice little hike”
Reviewed April 7, 2013

Fun and easy little hike to waterfall. Pretty area, who knew that was there. Easy to get to and close to Solvang.

“A walk in the trees”
Reviewed March 17, 2013

I can only imagine how the falls look when there's been rain - it was a very easy walk from the falls parking up the trail to the falls. There are benches along the way - what a great place to bring a book and just enjoy the sun through the trees. The park as you enter the grounds had room for kids and pets to run and places to barbecue. Well worth the stop.

“No better hike for kids, seniors, and others”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

I love this hike. We have done it with friends of all ages. You can get to the "falls" in less than 20 minutes. We hiked with our 75 year old relatives and young children age 2-5. No problems. The trail is clean. While the end of the summer makes the "falls" become a "trickle," it is still a wonderful destination. We used to love eating at the picnic tables at the onset of the trail, but that has become more of a parking lot. Take your picnic to the park. Be prepared for small flies in the fall...they are very annoying. Yellow jackets (not bees) will be attracted to meat. Better yet, skip the picnic, pack a snack, and enjoy the hike. It is wonderful.

“Didn't meet expectations.”
Reviewed February 20, 2013

Flow of water was a trickle. But it's a short hike to get to so didn't mind terribly that it was a bit of a let down.
