Spent a night at this lovely hotel on our way through the central coast. Terrific downtown Solvang location. Our room (in the bell tower section) was very large, clean and spacious. Fireplace, separate sitting room, recently upgraded bathroom. Not fancy but very comfortable, especially with our dog accompanying. The full breakfast (included in room rate) and free wifi were nice extras. Would definitely stay again.

We have stayed at this hotel previously, and by far, our favorite type of room is one of the cottage suites. Unfortunately, not all of them have access to a spa in your private "backyard", and when we arrived at the hotel this last visit, we couldn't get into the one we wanted. The front dest was very apologetic and were willing to move us the next night to the one we preferred. My wife didn't want to move, since we had unpacked, so we stayed in the "upstairs" unit which ended up to be just fine. We hung out by the fireplace in the living room most of the time and just relaxed. The location in Solvang is close by to all the great resturants and bars.

After years of driving by on the way to visit family, we finally stayed at the Wine Valley Inn: we were pleasantly surprised by what we found. We stayed in one of the tower rooms, which had a nice--if a bit obstructed--view of the Alisal Ranch and hills beyond. The room was cozy--with a fireplace--and had a nice bathroom with a lovely walk-in shower. The furnishings were fine and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was provided: a complete meal with eggs, sausage, hashbrowns, and local pastries. The staff was very professional and courteous. The location is unbeatable if you enjoy strolling and eating locally: we walked to dinner and walked through the heart of Solvang afterwards. All in all, a comfortable, affordable, convenient place to stay when enjoying Solvang.

Room Tip: The tower rooms are at the top of several flights of stairs, which might pose a problem for travelle...

Beautiful Inn and ambiance. Lovely room and decor. Decent comped breakfast. Very friendly staff. Centrally located so we could walk. More wine tasting rooms than you could ever visit in one day, all walking distance. The only time we took a car was for dinner to The Ballard Inn. Not cheap, but the most amazing food. A MUST go-to-restaurant if you stay in the Solvang area.

Room Tip: Third level Tower Room was quaint. Lovely wood burning fireplace. Had to walk up the last flight of...

We stayed at the Wine Valley Inn and booked a King Bed Suite with Fireplace. The pictures looked great on the web site and they allowed pets so I booked for 2 nights. This place was is in a nice location to walk to restaurants, cafe, and bakeries in solvang and I felt safe taking my pet
for walks. The room itself needed updating of fresh paint and more serene calming colors as the
lime green and gold & gray bathroom were odd. The room was split level and maybe they need
to install T.V on wall so they could place a small working desk in room. My spouse keep hitting his
head on a wooden beam which was not pleasant for him. The biggest problem for us was the King Bed was very old and bowed toward the center I was so happy to leave. Most hotels need to understand the mattress is important if a guest is going to get a good nights sleep. Maybe other rooms had better mattresses I can only share what I experienced in my room. Was OK but
will try another place next time.

i had the oppertunity to stay again at this gem of a hotel!, and let me say this is truly one of the best in solvang, truly a unique place, the rooms are cute as a button, and the cottages are truly your home away from home, compleate with a kitchentte, living room, w/ fireplace, and a seperate bed room upstairs, a private patio with a jacuzzi!!,and a balcony off the kitchen the room is extremelly clean! Do yourself a favor a book a cottage for that special one in your life, you won't be sorry!!, Worth evey penny and more!

the staff is very kind, and make you feel very welcomed, The General Manager Sandra is very outgoing and goes above and beyond the call of duty, if you have any problems with your stay (I'm Sure you won"t) notify her, and she will make it right, it really shows she loves her job!!

and the best of all this hotel is pet Freindly, and with a one time fee, per stay!, My dogs are having a blast running up and down the stairs,!!

i have been traveling the coast for a month, and this is by far the best hotel i have stayed at!!

Keep up The good work Sandra, and Staff, You guys rock, i will be back!!

We decided to try this Inn on a Living Social deal we got as we wanted to try out the local wineries. Check in was easy. We had a suite that was fairly large had a downstairs living area with a mini fridge, and a large L shaped couch a TV, smallish bathroom that had a separate sink outside the cam-ode and shower area, which was a little unusual but not an issue. There was an upstairs loft kinda small, but cozy enough.that had another TV and comfortable queen size bed but this area was not large enough to get ready, so you would need to get ready downstairs in the living area. Not a big deal. The upstairs loft also had a little door that when opened I think went to an Attic area that looked to be storage. It was kinda strange not really big enough to walk in but I think every room adjacent like ours had a little door that opened into this area as well. I don't think it was meant to be opened, but it intrigued us so we checked it out. It was a little creepy if anything. Aside from that, everything looked to be clean and well maintained. We had a great deal that included wine vouchers, and breakfast in the morning at their little dining area where they served a continental breakfast in the morning. It was fine.
They do a nice job at keeping it very much like an Inn which was quaint and cozy and that made it worth it.
I would definitely stay again, also as the location is ideal to walk to everything, but I think I would try one of the cute bungalows they have instead of the odd suites.
