We have been staying at this property for more than 8 years. We have watched it evolve from the the eclectic funky Chimney Sweep Inn, to another great Broughton Boutique Hotel. Their upgrades continue, but their prices, services and packages remain value packed. All rooms have upgraded bathrooms and amenities, as well as furnishings. They have added Wine and Cheese tasting in the afternoons, bicycles for rent, and their PCPA Theaterfest package remains one of he best. Their Theaterfest package includes a standard room, two tickets to a PCPA Play (the last two we saw - 39 Steps and Hairspray were fantastic and kept us smiling throughout each show), a bottle of wine in your room, and continental breakfast (the cinnamon rolls are very good) - they also offer cereal, juices, pastry, toast, bagels, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, fruit and assorted juices, plus coffee, etc.
The Manager Sandra Hallmann is ever diligent to make sure her guests are always satisfied, and goes above and beyond to insure your enjoyable stay.
It is a great overnight getaway, and there is plenty to do around town, all of which is easy walking from the Hotel (2 minutes to Theater). The Chumash Casino is 10 minutes away as is Alisal River Golf Course for those that like to golf (get yourself a Santa Barbara Axxess Card and save yourself $20/golfer plus 15% on food).More
