“Okay”

Food is fairly decent and drinks are good. They have beer and wine right in the Wild Note, but for some reason, they send the waiter over to the club next door if you order a cocktail. They also only seem to staff one bartender, and when there is a concert there will be NO room in this place. You will wait forever to get anything to eat or drink. Food is pretty good, but a bit pricey for what it is.

“Average Meal”
Reviewed July 28, 2012

My friends and I visited prior to a gig at Bellyup. The restaurant had a strange feel to it. When we walked in everyone was staring. The appetisers were good. The main courses of fish tacos were poor. My first experience of fish tacos was a bad one and may have put me off for life!

Service/staff was great. Ambience was comfortable. My appetizer and entree both tasted like cardboard.

“DO EAT HERE”
Reviewed May 19, 2012

OK, if you are headed to Belly Up maybe have some bread but otherwise avoid. Just home from a dinner at Wild Note and the food was the worse we had (a couple) and the bill for the two of us was $91 and we both had fish tacos (and some wine). Did not know that mahi mahi could be so dry....it was beyond dry. Can you freeze dry mahi mahi? I have had jerky in the desert that had more moisture. We are 20 miles from Mexico but i have had better in Scotland. Truthfully, and it sounds odd, the fish tacos at Encinitas diner are a thousand times better. The 17 food rating in Zagats is generous.

“Fun time”
Reviewed May 2, 2012

We decided to try the restaurant so we could get first access to the show next door at the Belly Up when the doors opened. Our dinner was great and the service was awesome. Forget standing in line outside to get into a show. Spend your time here and enjoy a wonderful meal pre-concert. Also, we sat right on the stage.
