We went to this restaurant hoping for a nice Italian meal (of course!). The bread with condiment served before the meal was very nice, the only positive thing about our visit. We both ordered the eggplant with ricotta pasta. My friend had the meat sauce, and I had the marinara. The eggplant was served breaded and fried, which I did not want, and there was scant ricotta. I told the waitress that the menu should have specified that the eggplant was breaded, and she replied "It says Parmigiana, which in Italian means breaded" She is telling this to an American Italian who has been to Italy and I know it means made with Parmesan cheese, as most people could surmise. The waitress was otherwise arrogant from the start, and the best part is, I didn't recall seeing Eggplant "Parmigiana" on the menu, just Eggplant with Ricotta, and indeed upon looking at the menu when we left, that is what it said. The waitress never offered me anything else, and didn't even know what was on her own menu. The sauce tasted like it came from a jar. And, they charged my friend extra for the meat sauce (without mentioning it). I called the owner immediately upon coming home and told him of my experience. He asked for my name, address, phone number, email address, and told me he would get more information and get back to me. He never did. That was a few weeks ago, and so I'm writing this review. If you give poor service and have an off dish or an off night, do something to make it right.
