We had our first of what will be many evenings at Crush!
The environment is warm, inviting, lively and vibrant. This could translate to loud if you are not in the mood. It's a bit dark so we women were looking exceptionally fine! ((-;
The food was excellent and beautifully presented. We had the Wedge Salad, Truffle chicken, Pesto shrimp, Chicken parmesean and an amazing chocolate, butterscotch pudding that was twice as good as Blue Ribbon! (I can't believe that's even possible)
Service was wonderful.
It is upscale dining with pricing to match.
We look forward to our next visit to our new Crush!

Just enjoyed one of our best meals ever at Crush, had the prix fixe Sunday meal of the best salmon ever. Great service, excellent paired wines and outstanding food. What could be better?

Great prices and food/drink selections at half price during happy hour--which runs until 6:30. I went here twice--lovely atmosphere and service.

I am picky when it comes to restaurants. I've grown up in them, come from a family that runs them, and have eaten at the greatest around.

We arrived at this place and were greeted by a very good looking manager in a tailored suit. The hostess was nice and didn't show the wear of working all Saturday night on her feet. The waiter was courteous enough to guide us through their offerings.

I selected the Pre-Fixed three course meal ($35) with optional wine pairings (three glasses for $16). Not only was the service great, but the food was even better! Each glass of wine was introduced by the waiter, and went so well with the food.

This place, from sit down to check (delivered in a Nancy Drew book) was surprising, superb, refreshing, and will leave me and the GF with many great memories.

Pros: Hostess, manager, and server (Moon) were the best. Great dishes, smart (and affordable) wine pairings.

Cons:
However, don't expect this to be the quietest place. They have a live band and then a DJ playing. But this place is quieter than any of the taverns/bars/restaurants, you'd find up Hwy 101.

[review of dinner] Crush is located in a small cluster of offices, restaurants and boutique shops alongside Highway 101 in Solana Beach. The interior is modern chic and the place has a "special occasion" ambiance. A talented singer/guitarist played in the bar area to an appreciative group. The bar includes widescreen televisions tuned to sports channels. In addition to the bar area, the restaurant also includes a main dining area, an elevated lounge area for drinking and talking, and an outside patio with a fire pit. Nicely done... Our food choices were very tasty. My wife and I shared a wedge salad, a plate of angel hair pasta and "Mom's meatballs" -- which was three large meat balls on a bed of marinara sauce. The waiter brought two different kinds of bread and an olive oil and balsamic dipping sauce. Again, very tasty. Our server was attentive but seemed a little overwhelmed having to deal with several large groups celebrating birthdays as well as some couples who kept trying different wines from the extensive wine list. Bottom line -- a preferred choice for a special occasion or just meeting friends for drinks after work. "Traveling the world one meal at a time..."
