Owner description: The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum is a must-see Southern California tourist attraction. Walk onboard Air Force One, act in a movie with Ronald Reagan, touch a piece of the Berlin Wall, and so much more.

If you are old enough to remember the Reagan administration there is nothing of interest but the view from the patio. If you are too young to remember or don't care you may find something of interest but nothing related to the truth. I thought that it was interesting that every other part of the museum was dedicated to private donors. Not a mention of the tax payers who actually paid and are still paying for the corruption of the Reagan cabal.

This has a lot of good displays, including a complete display of the presidential office. However, much of the space is taken up by the Air force One airplane. That is interesting, but frankly it is really just an airplane and takes a lot of space that could have been used for other exhibits.

A few weeks ago, my daughter and I visited the Nixon Library. We wanted to compare it with the Reagan Library-NO comparison!! (other than they were both Presidents and had part of the Berlin wall in their exhibits). It was further drive for us, but so well worth it. The cost was more, once again, so well worth it! The library was filled with rich history of his and Nancy's lives. It was very clear how he went from actor to Governor to President.

I very much appreciated the purple sticker that we were to wear showing that we had paid for the tour. Purple is the color for Alzheimer's Awareness, which afflicted this great man.

A must see if in the area. The museum was very well done with lots of documents, photos, videos and interactive exhibits.
The opportunity to walk through AirForce One was exceptional.
If nothing else, the setting and scenery from the Library grounds is spectacular.

Having a strong love for politics and history I wanted to stop by here, and by stop by I mean spend 2 1/2 hours at the library/museum. Whether one agree with President Reagan's policies or not, that should never stop you from learning and exploring an extraordinary location. You really get a good deal of how he made his decisions and the way he felt about our country. The site has a lot of the actual relics from his presidency, especially in the Oval Office replica; he was very specific on the idea that it needed to look exactly like the real one in Washington (to the point he had the room made taller because it was 16 feet instead of the actual 18.5 feet.) His air force one was very nice to see, in Seattle we have JFK 's Air Force One, you can see the difference in the way the First Ladies wanted it and the time era differences. In the museum you get to see a side of the couple that you wouldn't have otherwise: after the President for disabled with Alzheimer's; I teared up hearing FLOTUS talk about what it was like no longer being able to create memories with the only man she's every loved. I wish I could have had an extra hour or two there just to all pens more time seeing everything and hearing all the different content. I would highly recommend renting one of the media players for about $7; it allows you to take pictures that will later be emailed to you and listen to each of the audio clips read by Reagan, himself, explaining the exhibits and artifacts. If you only have one afternoon in the area to see, this would be that one single thing; despite political party or interests.
