“Good food and service, very convenient when passing by Selma”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 19, 2012

I stayed one night in Selma, going from Yosemite National Park to Sequoia National Park.
This restaurant was a natural stop, since I was sleeping in the nearby hotel.
We had soup of the day, salad and tri-tip. The tri-tip was very good, really. The rest was absolutely ok.
Kind people, they were helpful all the time, even if we entered the restaurant when they were almost closing the kitchen.
Prices are ok for what you get. Ambience is nice (pub style) and clean.
Not a place for a long drive to, pleasant stop if you are passing by.

“What a hidden secret!! Great Food!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 29, 2012

My family stopped there on our way to LA. It was a beautiful restaurant, surrounded by refresshing water falls. We did a little wine tasting then set down for the best meal we had eaten on our entore trip. They have a huge smoker outside and smoke their prime rib and steaks. I had the best Reuben Sandwich I had ever eaten!!!

“Good for the convenience!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 27, 2012

We had breakfast here as part of the deal with the hotel next door. We were a group of 4 and everyone enjoyed their order. It wasn't over the top or anything special, but was good enough for its purpose and convenience for us to get on the road again.

“I keep hoping for something more”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 22, 2012

Had another business lunch there; have a couple there every year. The dessert, once again, was better than the meal -- which included tiny bits of barbecued beef, even tinier slices of hard-boiled eggs, tomato and onion slices and lettuce. The dessert was ice cream with a bit of fruit cobbler. Generally, the servers are pleasant and efficient enough. But the best thing about this place -- a former Pea Soup Anderson as the address indicates -- is it's location, about halfway between Visalia and Fresno, just off Highway 99. I keep hoping for something more, but it's average at best.
