This winery is off the main road, people don't just drive by and decide to drop in...it's a destination. After parking you walk up the path to the entrance past a little rivulet of running water that sets the peaceful mood of the place. The interior is spacious with high ceilings and lots of glass to let in the natural light. There is a comfortable place to sit next to a fireplace on a chilly day. Usually the bar is uncrowded giving the servers a chance to talk about the wines, the winery itself, the vineyards and other nearby places to visit or to dine. I have noticed that staff turnover is just about nil. I think young Erin was the last hire. These people know how to please and do it well. There is no sense of push or hurry. As has been said the winess are pricey, but their pinots and chards are all of top quality. The gardener must enjoy his or her work as much as the servers because outside the paths wander through the lushest and most beautiful beds of mixed vigetables and ornamentals imaginable. The sense of peacefulness follows you as you leave.
