“Great location, good value”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 8, 2009

The location of this hotel to downtown Seal Beach and proximity to the beach cannot be beat in Seal Beach. Everything is within walking distance, which makes using a car obsolete (rare in So Cal). The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. This isn't the kind of place I would want to spend too much time in only because the pool is small and surrounded by the building and the views are of the local neighborhood. It was just the perfect place to shower and sleep. Our toliet didn't flush properly when we arrived and we had to wait about an hour to get service to repair it. Nothing major, but just a minor inconvenience when we were anxious to take a nap for our evening fun out with friends.

Make sure NOT to stay in Room 328! This room connects to another room and I could hear every little noise from the connecting room and the pool area. The pool is a small area and there is always someone using it. There are a lot of families and children that come to this hotel, so be weary of the noise for rooms around the pool area.

The rooms down the hall away from the pool are much quieter and private!!!
Once I switched rooms I was very pleased. Every room has been fixed up with a contemporary look and finish and the rooms are very comfortable and clean. Also the complimentary breakfast was very convenient!

The location is fantastic! It is a very pleasant walk to the pier and beach, and their are plenty of great shops and restaurants down Main Street.

We stayed in a room with 2 full (NOT QUEENS) beds. That was one of the main problems with it. What hotel has full beds anymore? Kinda cramped and no we are not overweight. Folks were also smoking in their rooms. The pool was smaller than what you think from the pictures. And that goes double for the hot tub.
Clean but shabby in a sense that they need to update. They did update the bathrooms but I think they need to consider looking at details more in that area.
The supposed fitness center was not air conditioned and very small.
Wifi was ok.
Good location as you can walk to Seal Beach shops. Safe and quiet for the most part. It's in a lovely suburban kind of area where the houses are wonderful and also very close to walking on the pier. Mixed review. Seemed a little overpriced.

We were looking for a beachside hotel to stay in to complete our Disney/Angels baseball vacation. The Pacific Inn and Seal Beach worked out perfectly and was just a 15 minute drive from our Anaheim hotel. When we made our reservations they offered us an early check-in and told us just to call when we were on our way and they would have our room ready. We arrived at the hotel at 11:00 am and were able to check in right away. This was great as we were able to get ready and head to the beach.

Our room (two doubles) was exactly pictured as on the hotel's website. The bathroom and the room itself were extremely clean and updated. Seal Beach is a very family friendly, quaint beach town with a beautiful beach, huge pier, and fun restaurants and shops on Main Street. The cottages in the neighborhood to the beach were really pretty and really well maintained. We ate at Hennessy's on Main Street for their Two for Tuesday Burger deal, and also had the complimentary breakfast there the morning we left and it was good. Even though we were only there for one night maid service offered us extra towels which was nice to have clean towels for two showers.

Seal Beach reminded us a lot of Coronado in San Diego and we would definitely like to go back and stay longer. There is no need for a car, everything is walking distance from the hotel. It was the perfect way to unwind after the crowds at Disney.

I was able to get a great rate for this hotel through Priceline. The front desk staff was friendly, I appreciated the coffee in the lobby when I checked in late. Also, the computer in the lobby was a great amenity as I had arrived late and needed to check emails. Parking was a bit of an issue, as only compact spaces seemed to be left and my vehicle, while it fit in the spaces was a bit large for it. There were no spaces available on the surrounding streets when I arrived.

The room itself was nice, spacious with lots of extra touches, such as a lap desk available on the bed, a large desk for working, a separate sitting area, and an in-froom refrigerator. There was a large amoire in the room in addiiton to a smaill closet. The only small thing I found wrong was a small metal strip going across the glass sliding door on the bathroom that had come loose, but it was really no big deal. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was nice with amenities such as fluffy towles, a real bathmat, upgraded fixtures.

I had a room right next to the pool/jacuzzi area, but did not hear anyone. The pool was closed when I arroved (after 10) and no one was in it the next morning. I did not have breakfast at the hotel (the room was so quiet I slept til 9:30), so I can't comment on that. I enjoyed the in-room coffee and the balcony.

I would definiitely plan to stay here again!

This was a great little hotel within walking distance to a very nice beach and warf. Enjoyed some great fish and chips at O'Malleys Irish Pub on Main Street.

Have to say that the Pacific Inn was a great little gem! The property is clean, convienently located to the beach and Main st., and the staff is amazing. Loved the complimentary breakfast at Hennesseys as well as the free shuttle within a 5 mile radius. We had a great time!
