We have visited Main St. Wine Cellar several times and the service has always been very good. The dishes that we have tried off of the menu and special board have been excellent and the portions are generous. Best time to visit is on a sunny and warm day when the large windows are open towards Main St. which allows for people watching as you dine. We will be returning.

I have been here twice. The first time was under a different owner. The food was good and there were entrees. The wine selection was average, but tended to be big brand name wines. My second time, the business had just opened under a new owner, who was very involved with the operation. They did not offer entrees. The wine selection was better than before.

We tried this restaurant at the recommendation of a friend. Under new ownership, we were excited to check it out. We arrived at 3 pm for wine and appetizers (missed lunch, didn't want to spoil dinner). A few people at the bar, we were the only occupied table. Server was completely disinterested. We ordered wine, baked goat cheese with honey and almonds, and sausages simmered in red wine. There were 3 servers, and 5 guests so service should have been prompt. Except it wasn't. We enjoyed our Chateau Montelena Cabernet (well priced) and the baked cheese was tasty. Nice with wine, although brushing cheese with honey and sprinkling almonds doesn't overly task the kitchen. We had finished about half the wine and a different server came to fill up our glasses. We said we wanted to wait for the sausages. She disappeared, and our disinterested server went into the kitchen. He came back and said the sausage takes 30 minutes. We had already been there 45. 30 minutes from when? Now, he said. He explained that only one cook was working and he can only prepare one dish at a time (I guess the stove has only one burner?). Obviously the server didn't put our order in. No apology. We recorked our wine, paid the bill, went to O'Malleys down the street. On the way out, we saw a Tapas menu on the chalkboard above the bar. We couldn't see it from our table, our server didn't mention it, and there was no indication at the entry that Tapas were available. Too bad we didn't know. This place has potential but management really needs to pull this act together. Won't be back, not when so many fine options are available on Main Street.

The wine selection is great. The food is very good. Their "Flight of Cheeses" is awesome! Especially the Bleu Cheese selection. Last slice touched something with bleach... not a fun experience or taste. Service was excellent.

Had a great time at this beautiful wine bar. The front windows open fully to the outside so it's an awesome setting. They have a nice wine list, but wish we were hungry enough to try the food. The server in the early afternoon was great, Alex. Then we came back at night and the place was packed. It was fun people watching.
