The room was large and well appointed. The sounds were a bit too much and most rooms face the pool which was loud and if you want an early night to get an early start, it won;t happen. The staff were friendly and accomodating.

Older motel, but very nicely kept.

- Refer near the vanity area under the counter
- Large ol' fashioned TV
- Beds are comfortable
- Lotsa pillows of varying softness/firmness
- Nice linens
- shampoo, lotion, soap
- Free wi-fi
- Nice pool area
- Continental breakfast (we didn't partake - went to Zachary's for pancakes...mmmm)

This hotel is right by Hwy 17, but we didn't hear much of it. The motel seems to be of good quality materials so the sound didn't penetrate the walls too much at all.

The overall landscaping is nice with flowers, etc. It is an older facility, but again, nicely maintained.

I used Skymiles to pay for the room. So, it was a great price.

Room Tip: Might want to get a room away from the pool if you're senstive to noises

This hotel was fine. We spent one night and had no problems. Bed was comfy, neighbors weren't heard. Pool looked nice although we didn't use it. The room was clean and seemed well maintained. I would stay here again.

We've been to Scotts Valley Best Western many times before and loved it! So we decided to go again. We arrived at the Best Western Scotts Valley Inn at noon and were given a room next to someone who was smoking. We figured it'd get rowdy later in the night so we had a room switched with no problems. At around 11 PM the party decided to move right next to our room. We called the front desk to have someone come up. No one came up so we went outside where we were severely yelled at by the guests. We called the front desk again and the receptionist came up. The guests started yelling at the receptionist as well. I immediately called 911. The Police showed up five minutes later and they came up to the corridor and took one male into custody. When the Police left we decided to stay at Watsonville's Best Western. The officer also advised us that this happens frequently. When we walked outside we were again yelled at profusely by one of the guests. We arrived to the office and checked out at midnight. The guest was still outside so the receptionist escorted us outside to our car. From then we went to Watsonville where we were greatly accommodated. My advice: DO NOT STAY HERE!

Room Tip: There is no best room

This is a nice two story motel in Scotts Valley, just off SR-17. Just a short drive from Santa Cruz, and even shorter drive to Felton, home of the Roaring Camp & Big Trees Railroad, and Henry M. Cowell State Park (full of stately Redwood trees).

Although right next to the highway, the motel faces the other way so the rooms are quite. They are fitted out with the usual features, including coffee maker (one of those unfortunate one-cup makers, but at least it makes coffee), Fridge, and wired (are wireless) internet.

They serve a fairly good breakfast until 10am, although the breakfast room is a bit small. Rates are high on summer weekends, but if you can stay during the week, it's a pretty good value.

We stayed here one night after visiting the Santa Cruz Boardwalk. We felt the hotels in Santa Cruz were over priced for what you go and looked a little outside of Santa Cruz. The Best Western Scotts Valley was a good value for the area, clean, comfortable, and quiet. All our requests were met with a second floor king room in a quiet location of the hotel. We never heard anyone next to us and I was surprised at how full the hotel parking lot was in the morning since it was so quiet. The hotel backs up to the highway, but we never heard any noise from the highway. We only heard the occasional noisy car traveling on the road in front of the hotel.
Our king bed was very comfortable, and everything was pretty clean. The breakfast in the morning with the waffle maker was quite nice. My husband prefers a good, substantial breakfast, and he agreed that their continental breakfast had a good selection of food and was filling.
If we come back to the Santa Cruz area, we would not hesiate to stay at the Best Western in Scotts Valley. It only took us about 10 minutes to drive to the Boarwalk.
