I am always wary of places to eat with a great view. we were very pleased with this great place with a great view of the S.F.skyline and the bay We dined there 3 times and were amazed at the consistently excellent food, service and value. All this with FREE valet parking!!

Going here since a child, I grew up with special occasions at the Spinnaker. It has one of the most magnificent views of local rigattas and tourist boats that go right by the totally glassed (on 3 sides) dining area looking over to the San Francisco skyline, Tiburon and Corte Madera. Ambiance is not all.
I can tell you they prepare exquisite fresh fish dishes. And, occasionally they even have sand dabs on the menu. Every fish is succulent, tasty, not over powered by spices, and truly worth the money. Nothing is overcooked and very little fried, mostly baked, with or without sauces. Pasta is also perfect. You will see groups of local business people and some families and just locals getting together along with Tourists. I was there when Prince Charles and his new wife were visiting and again just last month. Most all the Presidents have had something to eat there. If you don't have a reservation, you can have a drink and appetizer at a table or the bar and it is an experience, so, that's all she wrote.

This was our first visit and will be the last.

The restaurant has a great location looking towards SF - but that is ALL!!!
The food was miserable.

Briefly - the pot stickers were awful with a vile vinegar dressing - avoid!! The seafood grill was minuscule and not worth the cost, with soggy rice and indescribable vegetables - I am only happy that my stomach survived.

This restaurant either needs new owners, new chefs or both.

The USA can do better than this surely?

We stopped for lunch on Labor Day. We were seated at a very nice table at the window with a beautiful view of San Francisco Bay. The food was very good and the service was good as well.

You really only go here for the view, because the food is not so good. My husband had the Mahi with crab and Brie cheese, sounds good, right? Very bland, the Brie was ice cold not even melted and the Mahi was tasteless. My dish of sautéed Sea Bass was pretty good with a small tablespoon of fruit salsa, good flavor, small portions not worth the $24 . Our waiter was an air head with a dirty vest and dirty filthy pants that had a tear in the butt where you could see his underwear. We ordered coffee and dessert, he brought our coffee and forgot about dessert . We finished our coffee when he remembered our dessert. The ocean view is nice , the main course and service is not!
