Dropped into the Trident after reading Trip Advisor recommendations and finding convenient and reasonably priced parking attached. With a seven month old and his mom, these were important considerations in addition to a water view and good food. We drove straight from the airport and there were no problems being seated inside at 12:30 pm, but shortly thereafter nearly every table was filled. The view of San Francisco across the sunny and calm bay was glimmering! Finding Kingston Trio album covers on the walls was welcoming to this aging 'boomer, as were flyers promoting concerts by descendants of the group.
The waitress was friendly and prompt and our food, including fresh crabcakes was fresh and delicious. This was a great start to a wonderful weekend by the Bay! Can't be beat. Would love to come back for a concert on the roof. Wow!

Who knew that in my own neighborhood, a former 70's restaurant would morph into a snooty mediocre restaurant (Ondine) and then transform itself back to a 70's restaurant with psychedelic
menus? The Trident has a gorgeous wood deck with obligatory heat lamps. We sat outside for dinner with friends. The service was pretty good, and the food was surprisingly delicious. I had the grilled salmon and loved it. My lavender lemon drop was not too cloyingly sweet, and just right. At the end of our evening, watching dusk turn into night, we were surprised with lovely display of fireworks from across the Bay! We will definitely return as a couple, family and with out of town guests. What a nice find!

An ideal stop off for lunch in Sausalito. The service was very attentive, friendly and efficient and the food was good. Tip - try and sit at the bar overlooking the sea at the rear. Great views and a very enjoyable lunchtime spot.

The Trident sits on the bay with a view of San Francisco in the distance and Tiburon immediately across the water. This is probably the best set up for waterside dining I have encountered. There is clear glass at the end of the deck as a windbreaker and enough gas heaters to keep guests comfortable on a chilly evening. No jackets needed. There is a selection of well prepared seafood dishes. I enjoyed the sole over spinach and potatoes, My daughter enjoyed the fish and upgraded truffle chips. The clam chowder was fairly routine. Wines by the glass were limited and rather pedestrian. Beer selections were better. This is a good place if you want a tasty but not so memorable meal in a very memorable setting.

Went for Happy Hour last night and walked into a piece of history. Lived the retro look of the 70's and Happy Hour was nice. Sat at the bar ordered well drinks for $5 and $2 oyster shooters! Yummy! Would definitely come back again. Who wouldn't like the beautiful view either....
