Salito's is typical of restaurants in many waterfront resort towns. It has a great view (really). The staff were pleasant and accommodating. The food was average for such places, which means not all that good, but the food is not the primary attraction. The main courses are served in battered aluminum pots. It's a certain style, I suppose, one that keeps costs down and speeds up prep in the kitchen. There's not much else to say for it. Parking was convenient. We will not rush back.

After a great morning hike in Muir Woods, we decided to have breakfast in Sausalito. Salito's had a "Now serving breakfast," sign outside, and, in contrast to all the other breakfast places we saw, was not crowded. Breakfast at a crab and steak joint? The waiter said they've only been serving breakfast for two months, and I imagine you won't be able to get in once word gets out.

Beautiful room with big glass windows overlooking the marina and cool. Food was spectacular. We had fluffy beignets, a sizzling open-face omelet with delicious cheese, and fluffy apple pancakes. If I lived near here, I'd be a regular within a week! Try it. You won't be disappointed.

We just had a late lunch for our group of about 25. Everything went very well and they even set it up that each person got an individual bill. The food and service was excellent.

After doing Muir Woods, we pulled into Sausalito for lunch. Picked the place at random and thought it was very good. Place was fairly empty (Thursday 1:30pm), got a window with a view. Family had the burger sandwich and a couple of Fish-wiches. Interesting potatoes that came with it. All very good! A little pricey, but after awhile you grow immune to SF's prices. Good place!
