With an extensive tequila & drinks menu, plus an eclectic menu of freshly prepared, options, this is not your usual Mexican restaurant. Service was extremely friendly and top-notch. Turning down the tequila flight, we enjoyed tequila cocktails. The menu includes a sampling of everything from empanadas, tacos, enchiladas, ceviches, carnitas, and "Big Plates" (I can only imagine the size!) etc. with options of beef, chicken, pork, fish, lamb and vegetarian. We particularly liked the Dungeness crab empanada appetizer that was accompanied by a delicious salad, the guacamole, the Tres Al Pastor and the Baja Style Cod Tacos with a delicious cabbage and seaweed slaw. Bunuelos for dessert.were a hit! Everything is freshly made and beautifully presented. All of the taco shells and tortillas are homemade, light, and delicious. The location is perfect; right on the Bridgeway which hugs the Sausalito waterfront. While there's no Bay view at least from the indoor seating, the ambiance and wonderful tiled fireplace oven make the entire experience very festive. Local organic produce is used and everything on the menu is gluten-free. This meal was not inexpensive, as a lot of Mexican food can be, but seriously, you get what you pay for and this was a unique blending of Mexican cuisine with seasonal, fresh produce. We loved it!

Ambiance was lacking, tables are jammed together, upkeep shows no concern for the word "clean". Mirrors were filthy. The place was loud and while we were present 2 kitchen people, on their phones, decided to lounge in the half-filled eatery behind on 2-top. House Rose' ($11.00) was good, The house Tullamore Manhattan,($10.00 for the Tullamore Dew and $2.00 for the Manhattan was a curious configuration of cost). Crab Empanada ($14.00) was devoid of crab and substituted with peas and vegetable and (what appeared to be) a filler. The small salad that accompanied the Empanada was very salty. The Half Chicken, ($19.00) was small and dry, very dry. Served with an overly-salty chili bean dish. The tortillas were very tasty. Vegetarian taco ($11.00) was ok. The waitress ordered another Manhanttan for me without my permission and we paid for it. There appeared to be no locals in this place, not a god sign, This place reminds me of Fisherman's Wharf. Sadly, this is what people would dub a tourist trap,

Really recommend this restaurant as their food is amazing. The guacamole is so fresh, I could have had just that on it's own. Loved their fajitas though. Their service was outstanding. The place was full and they were super busy, but we did not have to wait long for our meal, and the waitress kept checking up to ensure everything was all good, all the while filling up our water glasses. Definitely will come back on my next trip.

Just happened upon this fabulous establishment, and in all ways it was outstanding! Michaela, the bartender, and Felix, the manager, were amazing! Highly recommend the cucumber margarita and the pork belly tacos! Really, do yourselves a favour and try this restaurant, you won’t regret it!!
