With an extensive tequila & drinks menu, plus an eclectic menu of freshly prepared, options, this is not your usual Mexican restaurant. Service was extremely friendly and top-notch. Turning down the tequila flight, we enjoyed tequila cocktails. The menu includes a sampling of everything from empanadas, tacos,enchiladas, ceviches, carnitas, and "Big Plates" (I can only imagine the size!) etc. with options of beef, chicken, pork, fish, lamb and vegetarian. We particularly liked the Dungeness crab empanada appetizer that was accompanied by a delicious salad, the guacamole, the Tres Al Pastor and the Baja Style Cod Tacos with a delicious cabbage and seaweed slaw. Bunuelos for dessert.were a hit! Everything is freshly made and beautifully presented. All of the taco shells and tortillas are homemade, light, and delicious. The location is perfect; right on the Bridgeway which hugs the Sausalito waterfront. While there's no Bay view at least from the indoor seating, the ambiance and wonderful tiled fireplace oven make the entire experience very festive. Local organic produce is used and everything on the menu is gluten-free. This meal was not inexpensive, as a lot of Mexican food can be, but seriously, you get what you pay for and this was a unique blending of Mexican cuisine with seasonal, fresh produce. We loved it!
