“Best lunch choice in Sausalito!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 19, 2014

First of all, I almost walked into the fancy burger place just down the street. I was alone and they were reluctant to give me a table ("Sit at the bar") -- there were plenty of tables. So, I walked away and happened to find Copita. Best choice I ever made! Terrific service, nice indoor and outdoor seating (I sat outside), and best of all, a first class menu. I had the Ceviches -- two different types all to myself: the Classic and the Coctel Mixto. I recommend Copita highly -- it's worth stopping in Sausalito for a meal there, even if you're just passing through. Convenient parking in a nearby lot.

“You want fish in that fish soup?”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 24, 2013 via mobile

What would have otherwise been a lovely experience was dampened by the kitchen's request for an additional charge to have fish actually added to their fish soup. In all fairness, there were little bits of fish but nothing one expect given the hearty helping of chicken my wife had with her Tortilla Soap. When I asked the server why there was so little fish she said that it would make the soup too fishy.

Be prepared for good food, the soups were of a good size but the tacos were expensive and tiny. Rated a 3 star due to response about the soup and the portion size.

“Wow!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 18, 2013

Absolutely blown away by fabulous food and drink for a really outstanding pre-Christmas treat. A full moon was perched just above the skyline on a super-clear December night, making the ferry ride to Sausalito the perfect starter.

Margaritas are the best in the Bay Area. Magic.

Explosion of flavors in tacos on handmade tortillas, fried oyster tacos and fried quesadillas. A trio of ceviche, the best guacamole with serrano chili and pomegranate seeds, wood-fired roasted chicken rubbed with chili straight from the rotisserie. Authentic. Bravo Gonzalo Rivera!

SO beautifully presented. It's the real deal Mexican food.

Did I mention 100 kinds of Tequila?

“Another great looking restaurant”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 9, 2013

One of the great things about living close to the Mission (in SF) all the great Latin options. Now that that would entail a 40 minute drive we go to Copita. You're not going to get anything that will rock your world and it is all a bit too sterile -- Pottery Barn meets West Elm meets Restoration Hardware and the like (like a lot of Marin eateries, apparently) but at least the place is open somewhat late (unlike a lot of Marin eateries)

“Fresh, unique & delicious”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 6, 2013

Started with guacamole made fresh, seasoned well. The fish tacos were fabulous, seasoned with a sauce and rub, grilled pineapple etc. The cauliflower soup was exquisite, not too rich, great flavors.

Had gluten free beer!
