“Yum Yum Yum!”
Reviewed September 26, 2012

We went to Sausalito for dinner and the choice is kind of limited in the evening if you dont like seafood so we thought we would try Copita as the place was packed and buzzing! We weren't disappointed! Great drinks, great food and great service! We had tacos and loved them! Just enough kick without burning your taste buds! we had the recommended dessert too which was delicous! Wish we could go back!

“Great place”
Reviewed September 23, 2012

Yummy Mexican food and drinks in sausalito. Weekday dinner was great. The signature margarita made right at your table is a must. Guacamole and Chips were tasty. 24 hour carnitas are outstanding as is the chicken entree. Did not have tacos but heard they were also good. Definately recommend.

“A little twist on Mexican cuisine”
Reviewed September 15, 2012 via mobile

My wife and I dropped in Copita after the San Francisco city tour that ends in Sausalito. With only 40 minutes before continuing with the Muir woods tour we figured some tacos or fajitas would be good for a quick bite.

We just got in - no waiting lines and were promptly seated. The place was buzzing with people coming in and out. There is a large chimeny were they roast their chicken, a bar if you prefer only to choose from a variety of tequilas and tables right outside for a view of the streets of Sausalito.

Instead of the numerous tequilas I chose the Copita Margarita which is shaken and served at your table. Our food was well presented and served in rustic plates that added a nice touch to the presentation. The chicken Tinga was very good and the fish I ordered served on soft corn tortillas was delivious. They're served with fresh cabbage and some gren seeds I couldn't identify but really enjoyed.

We left with two minutes to spare and we made it to our next tour. I would definitely recommend Copita if you're in Sausalito and in the mood for some chic mexican food.

“Funky vibe in Sausalito”

Grab an outside chair and sip on one of the tequila cocktails. Plenty of choice, tapas style and very tasty food.

“A Flight of Fun”
Reviewed September 14, 2012

While staying in Sausalito, we were strolling down the Bridgeway and happened upon Copita. It was a bit early for lunch, but we went in anyway, lured by the hundreds(?) of bottles of tequila behind the attractive bar. Well, what a great find! We started with chips and two housemade accompaniments-- delicious pico de gallo and an avocado tortilla salsa.

To drink, I had a Paloma ( tequila, grapefruit juice, and something else) and my husband enjoyed a flight of tequilas--three 1 oz. tastings including a reposada and an anejo, plus chasers. He like it so much, he ordered a margarita as well!

On the food side, I had an heirloom tomato salad with avocado, quest, and tortilla strips and an imaginative quesadilla filled with chorizo and Yukon gold potatoes. My husband had fish tacos, filled with perfectly grilled sea bass and chopped cabbage.

We happily agreed that this was the best Mexican meal ever, thanks to the chef and our wonderful waiter, along with sunshine and cool breezes on their outdoor seating.
