This location has changed a few times over the years, and it has transitioned into a beautiful pizzaria on the waterfront. The restaurant caters to the bicycle bound tourists with a bike parking area available, and its location close to the busy downtown area of Sausalito.
They do not accept reservations, and had a long wait, about 45 minutes for a table, but they welcome picnic guest dining along the water, so if you plan ahead and bring a blanket you can get your meal more immediately. They have a unique dining are with a few tables inside, and the majority of tables outside around fire pits or adjacent to the bocce ball court.
Sausalito is usually a bit colder than elsewhere in the county, so you should bring sweaters if you decide to eat outside, but they do have some heat lamps and coverings over their deck, so there is little discomfort from the elements if you eat at one of their tables.
The food is delicious, and has more unusual toppings than traditional pizzas. We tried 4 different kinds, and they were all very good.
I recommend this place both to the tourists who want a taste of Sausalito, and to locals who are looking want a reminder of the benefits of living here.
