beautfiul spot right on the water in Sausalito -- and not in the touristy part but rather down by the boats -- try to go on a warm night - when the fog rolls in its gets really cold at the outside tables even with the heat lamps. legitimately a french spot -- most of the staff speaks french if you want to practice. mussels are awesome, as is the foie gras, french fries (served in a big cone like in belgium or france) and chocolate fondant -- which is basically like a hot chocolate mousse cake. Speak to them in french when you make your reservation and see what kind of table you end up with :-)

It's water front and a beautiful view of the yachts in the marina. The seating is indoor/out so could get chilly if your not prepared. We had Sunday brunch. Eggs Benedict made with salmon and spinach and served with home style potatoes was a hit. Service was good. Son-in-law had a bacon cheeseburger that was cooked nicely and he gobbled it up. My wife had the quiche lorraine served with a side salad she was very happy to have ordered. All in all a nice, budget friendly brunch in a wonderful setting. Casual attire imperfect.

After a 6 hour cruise in from Sacramento we had the pleasure of walking to the Le Garage for some very good food, fast and friendly service. Offering a full bar and a relaxing atmosphere.

We were staying in town and had a walk around and found Le garage after a bit of searching, very pleasantly surprised with the French feel, excellent bouillabaisse, in fact one of the best I have had outside of France, my wife’s steak was also excellent, if you are looking in the locale don’t miss out, also great beer choices

“Bistro” in Russian means rapid (service) restaurant and traditionally a French bistro stands for a quick meal, which definitely resonates with Le Garage with its mostly cozy tables for two, laid out on California’s prized waterfront property, maximizing the number of foodies to experience a great meal. Staying true to its name, Le Garage-Bistro Francais serves the drooling, eager foodies with a fast service without compromising the quality and attention each guest deserves. Except for the foie gras, cheese, and cured meat (that are imported from France), most of the signature French dishes; such as Moules et Frites aka Mussels and French fries (a classic Belgian dish), Bouillabaisse, a Provençal classic infused with saffron (famous French epicure, Curnonsky, called it soupe d'or, soup of gold) and pastis from Marseilles, Cassoulet- a modified classic Toulouse meat and bean to satisfy the vegetarians with a hearty portion of plant-based protein-along with other items on the (seasonally inspired) menu have gone through some worldly adventure mixing with spices and local ingredients-hence a “More Flavorful French Meal”. After living in France for two years and eating like a local, I can say Le Garage has done an excellent job in maintaining the French culinary tradition while embracing the bounty and fusion culture of California.

With an excellent selection of French and California wine, every meal becomes a tasty treat to bring your family and friends to enjoy the good life of California on repeats.
