Beautiufl views right on the water ! I stayed in the Honeymoon Suite, and it was lovely ! Definitely recommend it for the amazing views of the bay, Alcatraz and the city !

  • Liked — The view/location was ezquisite
  • Disliked — Housekeeping did not show up on time for turn-down, and left my room unfinished when they did show up

We originally booked a King deluxe but found our room a little small. We asked for a larger room and the staff were able to switch us to a larger room on the first floor with a terrific bay view and wood-burning fireplace. The room, view and amenities were outstanding. The cost is higher but absolutely worth it. We stayed on the deck all sunday morning so we could read the paper and enjoy the view. We didn't want to leave.
Breakfast and afternoon wine and cheese(all included) were put out with a beautiful presentation. Large wicker trays were available to take food back to the room.
Staff were very helpful and friendly. We were able to visit San Francisco easily by walking across the G.G. bridge in the morning and taking the ferry back at night.
The ferry arrives right next to the hotel which is very convenient.
I would definitely recommend this hotel!

My husband surprised me by finding this hotel in one of the greatest little cities in Northern California. We felt like royalty as soon as we arrived, with the bell staff greeting us by name and showing us to our gorgeous room! The views were like no other views we have ever seen and the hotel was elegant throughout. We loved the wine/cheese reception and enjoyed it one time in the library room and once we took it back to romantically indulge on our private balcony. We loved the hotel so much that we are returning for our 5th wedding anniversary again this September! It will be hard to ever stay anywhere else when we are looking for a one of a kind destination.

This was our second stay at The Inn and once again the atmosphere and staff surpassed all expectations. Our king sized balcony room was beautiful and had a breathtaking view of San Francisco. Just sitting on the balcony enjoying breakfast was all the vacation I needed. The staff was friendly and helpful they made me feel like I was their only guest. The breakfast was alot more elaborate than it's "continental" description would have you believe and the wine and cheese reception in the evening was a great prelude to many of the fabulous restaurants within walking distance of the Inn. My only regret was that we couldn't stay longer than our three night visit.

When we pulled into the Inn Above Tide we unfortunately blew a tire on the curb. The staff could not have been more helpful. Someone came running right out took our rental car and changed the tire for us. They absolutely turned what could have been a terrible experience into a small glitch. We knew right away we would be happy here.
The rooms are wonderful and the views are amazing. Just sitting on the balcony seems like a vacation in itself. The service was always impeccable. The breakfast was delicious and who would want breakfast anywhere else but on your balcony overlooking the Bay?
The Inn Above Tide was recommended to us by a friend, and we have also recommended it to others.
This hotel is well worth every penny, you will not be dissapointed!

I have stayed in many hotels in the SanFrancisco area but none as beautiful or as relaxing. The staff was friendly, helpful and attentive. We plan to return soon.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay here last year so much we decided to make a return trip.

Nothing has changed and all was as expected. The rooms and views are great, and the services even better.

When visiting SF or near by area, this definitely is the place to stay!
