I haven't been here for years, and my friends and husband went here for lunch on Friday because the patio was inviting. The menu has typical Italian offerings like ravioli and lasagna and the yummy fresh-baked bread delivered to the table. One nice lunchtime surprise is a combo menu where for $13 you can choose from a limited list of entrees to combine (in a smaller portion) with soup or salad. Three of us ordered different options - salmon ravioli, chicken Marsala and risotto - and it was still a decent sized portion. We did not have wine, so cannot comment on that.
Our server helped us make our decisions and had a good sense of humor. This restaurant isn't one you'd drive a distance to visit, but if you're in the area to hike, for wine tasting, to visit Hakone Gardens or Villa Montalvo, it's a nice place for lunch.
