The Plumed Horse is an expensive, high-quality fine dining experience. They set a high goal for themselves and they've achieved it. The food and the service are exceptional, but you'll pay for it. Every course is an experience. Do not skip the desserts and cheeses, or the port cart. The bar is beautiful if you don't want to leave. The Plumed Horse is great for special occasions or anytime you just feel like spoiling yourself. We definitely plan to go again soon.

We have been here a few times before but this will be our last time we will ever come again. We came here for Christmas Eve dinner.First of all, it is kind of misleading when on their website they said a 9-course dinner,it was really a 4 course dinner. The service was especially poor this evening and we were not given attention at all. After we were seated, our server asked us very abruptly whether we want anything to drink and then for a very long time no one came over to ask whether we have any questions about the menu. During the course of our dinner none of the staff came over to refill our water or ask how is everything. We were not even offered coffee or tea towards the end of the meal. We have to ask one of the busboy to get it for us. We were made to feel very unwelcome. For a restaurant of this class we expect a bit more from them.

This is a fantastic seafood restaurant in Saratoga. If you are looking for gourmet food of the highest caliber, Plumed Horse is your place. The have a fantastic champagne cart and an amazing cheese cart. Not to be missed is the seafood souffle. The chef/proprietor makes the best lobster in town. This is a destination restaurant with a fantastic wine list.

Our group went here and 3 of us did the tasting menu at $145 ea and the other 3 had the Entreconte beef.

First for the tasting menu- came with rabbit, antelope, and some signature dish with a few desserts. The meat dishes were all very dry and desserts were nothing extraordinary.

Our friend's meat dishes were also dry and not tender at all. Entreconte according to the waiter is suppose to be american kobe from wisconsin. But we didnt even think it was close to filet mignon!

Overall the service was fantastic but food for prices paid was not up to par. Alexander's steak house is a much better choice for high grades of tender beef.
