Spending the morning running errands with my daughter and then taking a quick tour of Gillespie Field Aerospace Museum, we were in a hurry for lunch as we needed to get back to pick up the girls from school. My daughter said let's go to Phil's before it gets busy.
Well, per usual, there was a line. If they were open at 3:00 AM, I think there would be a line. Nonetheless, they offered the bar seating and we took it immediately. They have a "Times Square" ticker tape circling the bar reading out sports scores, plus a gazillion TVs strategically placed; it was during the Winter Olympics so it livened things up while we ordered and ate.
We both ordered a beer and she ordered the chick-less dinner, which are chunks of white meat with seasoning. I had the pulled pork Broham sandwich. I'm not sure I'm crazy about the cole slaw sitting on my bun; I'd rather have it on the side. I gutted it out and ate it but I'll probably pass in the future.
Our waiter, Brandon, was friendly and fast!
