This place is a well-kept secret. There are seven lakes on this 190 acre property and they offer lakeside tent camping, and have six cabins for rent for about $100 a night, with several being "floating cabins" right on the water. For us, we love the RV park surrounded by running creeks and trees. All RV sites are full hook-ups, and the price is very reasonable. This Santee Lakes is owned by Padre Dam, and uses re-claimed waste water for recreational purposes, but do not let that discourage you from coming here. The place is absolutely immaculate and there is no odor at all. This is a real ecological experiment and is very "green" if you are interested in such things. When you camp or RV here, you feel like you are out in the woods somewhere, especially in the sites near the running creek, the East Loop.
