This bed and breakfast resort was absolutely fantastic, the best we have ever experienced (and we have traveled quite a bit). The rooms and common areas are beautiful, and impeccably maintained by a very caring staff. Every detail is attended to by a very attentive and genuinely kind staff that is passionate about what they do. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous, far better than any Ritz or Four Seasons I have seen, with amenities to make you totally comfortable, including heated floors, whirlpool tubs, steam showers, beautiful piped in music, etc. The decor in the rooms and common areas is gorgeously designed by Christina, the Inn's hospitality coordinator, and she has done an absolutely fantastic job. The Inn has a wonderful breakfast in the beautiful dining room, with hot and cold items, mostly freshly made on premises, and all delicious. They also have a very nice wine hour, serving fantastic local wines from the region, with great hors d'oeuvres. There are several great restaurants a short walk away, and the Inn has fantastic homemade deserts ready when you return. All of this is included in the room rate, no add ons at all. What really makes this place extra special is the wonderful staff, including Adam, Rick and Amando at the front desk (and serving wine), and including Christina and Bobby, who also attended to every need, even anticipating what we wanted before asking for it. It felt like we were with a warm and caring family, and we didn't want to leave. They made great recommendations for the area, and really made us feel at home. Adam, Rick, Amando, Christina and Bobby, thanks very much to each of you, and we look forward to seeing you when we return.

This was our third visit to the Santa Ynez Inn and each visit was delightful. Our room was spacious, comfortable, quiet and relaxing. The staff is so helpful and attentive. We enjoy the wine tasting in the late afternoon and the delicious breakfast with some healthy choices. The location is convenient to the Santa Ynez valley wineries, a drive through the Los Padres National Forest and shopping in Santa Barbara.

We spent a delightful weekend at this lovely Inn. The area is very quiet, which is not true for some of the areas that surround Santa Ynez. We rented bikes for a day and had one of the best 40 mile rides in our life - just the right amount of hills amidst drop-dead scenery. We then hiked a second day to the top of a mountain range to observe the CA coast and Happy Valley as this area is called. The Inn is lovely - great food, laid back but excellent service, lovely room. My only complaint and it is a suggestion more than a complaint is to keep the large fountain on all night as it creates such a restful sound matching such a restful place. I especially liked that you could be social or private at this Inn - a choice not many BnBs allow.

This was one of the nicest places we ever stayed, what a treat! The place by itself is amazing, Victorian style, pretty, high ceilings, high doors. The staff was great and very attentive, and the manager Rick reserved a special room with ADA approved features, which was a nice and welcoming surprise! The shower was one of the best I ever had, and the bathroom is big enough to throw a party in there:)
In the back there's a semi private hot tub that we pretty much had to ourselves. Fireplace and soothing music in the room, a comfortable bed among other cool stuff like beautiful furniture makes you don't want to leave the room. I could live there! BUT, they have a great happy hour w wine and hors d'ouevres, dessert and a great breakfast. The hotel is totally fitting for the quaint town of Santa Ynez, and there's really good restaurants just walking distance! The fall weather was just great for our getaway, and we cycled thru the wine country in the morning after a hearty breakfast. In just a quick one-day trip, we had a perfect getaway, it felt like we were in a different country and gone for longer. Such was the relaxing feeling we had on the way home. I'd love to go back some day!!

This was the second time in less than a month that I stayed here. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. The wine tasting adds a nice touch. The breakfast is filling and delicious. Expensive but well worth the cost. Within walking distance to all the best restaurants, wine tastings and shops in Santa Ynez.

Delightful boutique hotel in a quaint little town. A perfect hub for taking day trips into the wine country of Santa Ynez Valley. Each night they had a wine tasting bar setup which was a great way to unwind at the end of the day.

We selected this Inn based on the 4-diamond rating, but did not know anything about it. What a pleasant surprise! First, the check-in staff escorted us to the room, showed us the works, and the Direct TV controls that confuses everyone but the kids. The rooms were clean and well furnished. We ate a wonderful lunch at The Vineyard House across the parking lot, next to the Spa (thanks to the local couple sitting at the next table on the porch with us). Then since the Inn partners with several of the local wineries and tasting rooms, the flight tastings were gratis. We ended up buying a case of wine from the first tasting room/wine maker---The Imagine and met the owner (Ross) who took an hour with us to explain how he blended/made his wine. We went back to the Inn for Happy Hour, and the wine was not the jug stuff, but the $20+ upper shelf wine. We tasted the Carr Winery Pino Gris, amongst 3 other wines, along with a varied selection of hors d'Oeuvres. The next morning, we just went to the Carr tasting room and bought the wine from the night before (too early to start alcohol at 10am and then drive). Then later that evening, the Inn put out a desert setting for a night-cap. Then breakfast was cook-to-order gourmet style quality that was beyond expectation for a B&B. We did not have time for the spa, as we had to move along our trip, but we will return in the near future for more than just one day. We felt we got our monies worth and the staff was low key and very accommodating. The Inn is about 3 miles east of Solvang, and is in a rural setting that is very subtle, not like Solvang that is very commercialized. The Inn has earned the 4-Diamonds and in our opinion works to keep it that way. You should not be disappointed if you stay here.

Room Tip: Over-looking the fountain/courtyard, looking at The Vinehouse restaurant and spa.
