OK they make amazing beer and that's coming from a snotty Beer SNOB! Their best and almost famous is Pliny the Elder. It's a double IPA (Indian Pale Ale). I honestly only really enjoyed Porters, or Stouts but this one converted me to IPA's. I'm from Colorado and Pliny is sold out of our Liquor stores almost the second it arrives here. I just got back from a Keg Tapping Party at Trinity Brewery in Colorado Springs where Pliny the Elder and Pliny the Younger were the two beers being taped. Pliny the Younger is a triple IPA and it was sold out in 30 minutes. Yep their beer is celebrated in many Brew Pubs and bars from Colorado to California. The food there was good but come on man it all about the beer.

The guys that work there are your average 30 something year old, slobby, careless, lazy, live in their parents basement type of guys. The beer is ok at best. You are better off going down a block to Mary's Pizza Shack for amazing pizza and a beer.

My wife and I walked in on a Saturday afternoon to find the place packed! We had to wait a little bit but it turned out to be worth it. While waiting, we sampled 2 of their specialty beers which were very good. Once seated, we ordered a pizza and sampled 2 more beers. It's a loud, popular place but the food and beer were great. Give them a shot.

We ended up here by recommendation of a local we met earlier. We had heard of their beers, but don't get them in NC, so we looked them up and WOW! Some of the best beer in the world and we were nearby! (trying to go to Tex Wasabi's, but it was closed for renovations). We ended up eating here too, and, honestly don't even remember what we had, but damn that beer was good! Try it and try the sours! Amazing and glad we found it!

Apparantly the beer is fabulous, but we didn't drink any beer. There is not a whole lot to look at in the restaurant. The server seemed more interested in flirting with the guys at the table next to us than actually serving anyone anything. She wasn't bad, but certainly wasn't good. We ordered salad and pizza. It was good, though I probably would not go back.
