A group of four of us traveled to Santa Rosa a couple of hours away to go to a couple of breweries in the area. Our first stop was Russian River Brewing. We arrived about 11:30 a.m. and the place was already packed. We were seated very quickly, but put at a rather small table. There were a couple of larger tables that were empty, but they had Reserved signs on them. We each ordered the complete beer sampler, a small pour of each beer that they had available, about 19 if I remember correctly. We also ordered lunch because it was that time of day. The waitress was very friendly and efficient. We received our beer samplers quickly. We received about half of those we ordered, and got the rest later because there wasn't enough room on the table. We received our lunches within a short time. Barely enough room to get the samplers and the plates on the table. I ordered a meatball sandwich and the people I was with ordered similar items. The food was good, but nothing great. However, the beers were excellent and we ended up buying bottles of a couple of their beers to take home. I would recommend coming here after lunch as I heard that the 3rd Street Brewery has better food. Didn't know this until we got back, and we didn't even know about that brewery. Wish the table had been bigger.
