5 of us were just here this past Saturday, arriving around 11:45. We were quoted a 45 minute wait, which seemed reasonable at that time as they were quite busy. 45 min later, we rechecked and were told that our table wasn't ready yet, but we were next. Noticing that many people were leaving and tables were empty and cleared, we kept rechecking over the next 20 min but were never called. People actually started trying to seat themselves. We finally got our table after showing the hostess that the table she had specifically told us was going to be for us had been ready for quite some time and that other people were trying to sit there.

After being seated, it was another 5-10 minutes before being acknowledged by the server. Ordering was very rushed and when asked the difference between the sours, he responded "they're all good, I like them all". We wanted food as well, but were told that most things on the menu would take a long time to prepare because they were busy--buffalo wings took 20 minutes, pizza takes 45 min. However, they did bring out one person's salad immediately, which made for a awkward 45 min of waiting as they were trying to be polite to the rest of us. The food was fine, but generic fare similar to what you would get at Chili's.

We got one of the full samplers, which was fun and had several interesting and tasty choices. But an outing, regardless of if you are eating or not, is a complete experience--one that is marred here by subpar services. Sure, Saturday is a busy day, but I can't imagine that this is different than a normal weekend for them. They need to get their stuff together. Of note, towards the second half of our meal we noticed that there was a line down the block just to get to the hostess stand but the 5 tables around us were completely empty.

Thought we might eat here but arrived during happy hour and the wait was going to be 1 1/2 hours. We opted for just getting a beer from the bar and standing near the stage area. Pliny the Elder is phenomenal!! We got it a couple of more times at a bar in Petaluma too.

I really enjoy the beer at this Brewing Company! No better beer in Sonoma County. I only go to this restaurant for the beer. The food is good, but the beer is the moneymaker.

Their Pliny the Elder Double IPA is worth making this brewery a destination. They make some very good sour beers. Not a lot of beers for the average beer drinker, an oasis for the serious beer-o-phile! It can get crazy busy so plan ahead and prepare to wait. The servers are knowledgeable and food is OK but nothing really special. The atmosphere is for the serious beer drinker, not the dilettante. If you want fancy go elsewhere. If you want outstanding handcrafted beer, this is for you.

We went to Russian River in mid-July and had a great time trying a sample of their beer selection. We had to wait 30 minutes for a table but we didn't find it a problem since we just browsed the stores on the streets while we waited. We tried the samplers which included affordable beer off their taps and sours (which are beer fermented in wine barrels), very unique to that area since we've never heard of sours before. Like their namesake, sours are VERY sour but it is worth the experience. The IPA selection was excellent but the browns/dark ales was a give or take. Their growlers are very cool shaped, a curvy bottle with an interesting seal.

Overall, I would recommend getting the full sampler if you had 2 people.
