First, you need to decide what type of lodging you are interested in. If you are price motivated, this is a good bet. It was a very nice place to stay.

Everything about it, from the kitschy decor, the huge heated outdoor pool and jacuzzi, the nightclub, the comfortable beds. The rooms were very nice and have 2 doors, one to access from the inside of the hotel and one from the outside (so if you read ppl comparing it to a motel - that may be why).

And yes, the place is older but who cares, does everything have to be brand new to be nice or good. I think not!! It adds some character to the experience rather than staying in a luxury hotel. You just need to decide what you are looking for in lodging.

Our room did have a mini-fridge (it was old but it worked) and the bathroom was dated but nice and clean. No complaints here. The front desk staff could have been better about providing more details, like: They have a really good Sunday brunch, Rib dinner served Friday and Saturdays with a free wine tasting in the lobby on Fridays from 5-7. Plus live music on the Fri & Sat too. Overall, great place if you are not expecting the Ritz.

Room Tip: The rooms look to all be pretty much the same.

What a great team beginning with Lisa at the front desk - so friendly, nice, and accommodating. Emma was my waitress for breakfast and also so pleasant.
It is so nice to know a great Resort has maintained such tradition with so many nice people.

Room Tip: Ask for a room towards the back of Resort, closer to the Health Club & Fitness Club

My wife and I stayed at the Flamingo Conference Resort & Spa on November, 29, 2011 while visiting friends in the Sonoma County area. Although not the most beautiful from the exterior, the room was cozy and comfy and more than I expected. Very clean and the king bed with down comforter was a nice touch. On Tuesday and Wednesday night, they have a Filet Mignon and shrimp combo for $14.95. AWESOME! For breakfast, I had eggs benedict with hash browns for $10.50. AWESOME! Liked having the CVS Pharmacy right across the street in walking distance. Good value for price of the room. Good place to stay.

The front desk staff - esp. Lisa - was very friendly. She upgraded us to a suite - the room is very clean, updated and has nice decor. Very comfortable beds and the internet is free too. Even though the hotel is old, they have very nicely renovated. Highly recommend.

We stayed on our wedding night and were given a free upgrade. I went to the hotel when my father was in town visiting when I was a child. It is clean and well laid out. Really nice room with good view of central expansive courtyard and swimming pool. The swimming pool wasn't heated (during the winter), which makes a lot of sense from an environmental standpoint; it is a big pool. There is a heated lap pool for use that is part of the club. There is also a big outdoor jacuzzi by the pool. Very nice. I polar bear-ed it in the pool. Felt the tightening of tendons in my armpits as I paddled about. Very invigorating. Delicious endorphins. My bride is super sweet too....but what was I saying?
Also, it is in a good location, near HWY 12, but quiet. Near Montgomerey village shopping. Good staging for heading to Sonoma or to downtown Santa Rosa. A mile? from Howarth Park which connects to Spring Lake Park and Annadell.

I would like to express my appreciation to the front desk staff and management of the Flamingo Resort for making our stay at the Flamingo very enjoyable. This Thanksgiving, at the urging of our son, we stayed for the first time at the Flamingo Resort. We were very impressed. The room was very comfortable. The shower easy to access. Pricing was also reasonable. They have won us over.

The front desk staff was extremely helpful, especially Lisa and Ruth, accommodating our needs and inquiries. Gave us tips on local attractions. The Sunday champagne brunch was top notch! Clean, comfortable, quiet rooms.

Room Tip: We found The Flamingo through Hotwire and got a great price.
