We typically stay at hotel chains like Hilton or Hyatt so I was a little apprehensive about staying at Fountaingrove Inn, but the reviews were pretty reassuring so we took the chance. We were pleasantly surprised!

We stayed mid-week for two nights in June and arrived to a warm welcome at the front desk. The front desk staff was always pleasant and very helpful when we had questions or needed directions. The room itself was pretty standard - nothing extraordinary, but was very clean. Our room had two double beds that were quite comfortable. The room had a separate sitting area with a couch, 2nd tv , mini fridge and a Keurig coffee maker. The separate sitting area was a nice to have since my husband and I were traveling with our little girl. It allowed us to be able to watch tv while she slept in the bedroom area. The bathroom was a bit on the small side, but very clean. The sink was in a separate area outside the bathroom which we didn't particularly like because it was hard to keep quiet when needing to use the sink because of it's close proximity to the bed area.

Hotel grounds/exterior are well lit and maintained and there is plenty of parking. The hotel is close to the road so you do hear some traffic, particularly trucks and sirens, but overall not that bad. The hotel in only a few min from the downtown area of Santa Rosa.

We would definitely recommend staying at Fountaingrove Inn and hope to do so ourselves again in the near future!

We read all the reviews on Trip Advisor and decided to stay here on our way to southern CA. I called and the desk clerk held our room for us with out a credit card. How often does that happen. Upon check in we were up graded to a jr suite. Wonderful experience.

This was our second stay at this hotel and we were up for our grandson's graduation ceremony. We made our reservations ahead of time and were tired when we arrived. We were greeted by the friendly staff and then by the hotel manager Justin Hayman. The front desk is staffed with knowledgeable personnel that can direct you all around the wine country. The staff at Equus restaurant (especially Andrea) attended our every need! The breakfast was delicious and dinner was fantastic. The food (we had prime rib for dinner) was absolutely fabulous!! Everyone was so kind, gracious and accommodating. Everything was just wonderful! The whole weekend was great. We had a hectic schedule and were very tired so the comfortable bed was perfect for a well needed rest! I would go back here again and highly recommend this hotel if you're going to be visiting the Sonoma County area. It is a perfect little get-away if you just want to do a road trip or "stay-cation" anytime soon! And finally, don't forget the wine tasting event in the evenings! This is a beautiful property and a very friendly staff! It has quickly become our favorite place to stay whenever we are in Santa Rosa!! Thanks everyone!

We stayed three days ins junior suite room. Room had plenty of space, but a bit dated with the decor. Bathroom was apparently just redone as the ceramic granite tiles were obviously new. Small flat screen Polaroid TV in room seemed overwhelmed in room. The Keurig coffee maker was a nice find. We purchased our favorite brand of coffee at a nearby grocery. Room just average at best. Staff at hotel is terrific and attentive. Kudos to the customer service trainer. Best part is the Equus lounge for happy hour. No need to go anywhere else, the locals even frequent the happy hour. This was not our first stay here. Despite some of the decor issues in the room the value is there. Our other choice in the area is Doubletree in Rohnert Park. Just a matter who has best price this time it was Fountain Grove Inn.

We stayed there 2 nights on our trip to Napa and Sonoma. I booked this hotel mostly due to price but I was greatly surprised at the service, cleanliness and a nice outside pool and jacuzzi. It is somewhat a drive from downtown and all wineries, but for the price it is worth staying here. The service was by far the nicest I encountered in a long time. The rooms were clean, nice; the fridge did not close all the way, but I really have no other complaints. Free parking, and a lot of it. It you are traveling in the area and don't want to spend too much on hotel, and want a great atmosphere, I highly recommend this hotel. We loved it.

My wife and I spent just a nite but it was a very pleasurable experience. Centrally located just off 101, it was a little over 1 hour ride from SF and just 20 minutes to Healdsburg and Geyersville. Chris Morano, concierge was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. He guided us to the wineries and offered complimentary passes. Our room 110 was good size., very clean with all the amenities. Bathroom, was well lit, granite and clean and quality linens. Parking was free. Nice pool and Jacuzzi. Ask for the Sonoma package and they'll throw in free breakfast at their restaurant; Equus. We got a great rate of $119. We highly recommend.

Was in Santa Rosa for an overnight business trip, and found this hotel very nice. Staff was exceptionally friendly, easy quick check in, and the room service was fantastic!! If I were to come back to the Santa Rosa area for pleasure, I would definetly stay here again.
