Hospitality was excellent. Atmosphere was warm and homey. Pam and Larry were great hosts and did all they could to make our stay memorable. The grounds were stunning and the house was something out of a storybook. I told Pam I wanted to buy it from her. Just a wonderful all-around experience. We had the best time around the breakfast table with the other guests, so much so that I didn't want to leave when it was time to move on. We will be back!

Room Tip: The Inn is on a busy street, so you'll want to be in the back rooms - ie, Library, Meadow, Sunny...

Great people, quaint space, delicious breakfast, convenient location, comfortable beds... We enjoyed it very much. Was not remote, but still felt apart from nearby Santa Rosa.

They were accommodating for my wife and me on a last minute reservation, and made a pregnant lady feel quite well.

Overall homey and tasteful.

Beginning with the hospitality of the hosts all the way down to the bedding, everything was fabulous. This is truly a gem in the wine country of California. The food was great, the grounds were beautiful, and you just could not ask for more. We will be back...

Room Tip: If you want to fell like royalty, we recommend staying in The Parlor room.

As a couple we enjoyed several days at the Gables Wine Country Inn very much. Hospitality and service were truly excellent, and the convivial breakfasts around the big table with other guests, fortified with the most tasty food and fine coffee, were a great start to the day. Our bedroom was spacious, comfortable and quiet, and we slept so well. At the end of our stay, our regret was we didn't have a couple more days of true relaxation. Pam & Larry also provided us with excellent advice as to what to see in the wider area. A b&B gem.

I highly recommend this place! Friedly staff, excellent food, pretty rooms. Good grounds and gardens for bird-watching and blackberry-picking. The price is right, and I wish we could have stayed more than two nights. Our two breakfasts were delicious, in a beautiful dining room.

Three couples recently spent two days and nights at The Gables Wine Country Inn in Santa Rose, CA. We had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The inn has beautifully appointed rooms, lovely public areas (both indoors and out), and superb innkeepers! From our initial tour of the property to our final goodbyes, everything was handled well.
Larry's and Pam's breakfasts were delicious and the service was impeccable! Our innkeepers were knowledgeable about the wineries in the area and made recommendations according to the individual tastes of each guest. They provided maps with individually marked detail for each group of guests. They had tasting passes available for many of the wineries in the area. Prior to our arrival they had handled restaurant suggestions and dinner reservations for our group of six. They recommended a perfect little store to purchase lunch and a winery with a lovely picnic area. This resulted in a most enjoyable picnic lunch on a beautiful Santa Rosa day!
The deck on the back of the inn provided a lovely spot to relax before dinner each evening and the front parlor served as our meeting place before breakfast each morning and after dinner each evening. Tea, coffee, other beverages, and freshly baked cookies were available whenever we were not busy tasting the local wines. We would certainly recommend this B&B and its generous and capable innkeepers!

Room Tip: When we were making our reservations, Pam recommended a first floor room for the couple in our party...

We arrived with another couple and were greeted by Pam with a friendly smile and a warm welcome. She gave us a tour of the house and we were intrigued by the manner in which breakfast would be announced; by the ringing of a "gong" promptly at 9 a.m. Our rooms were spacious and beautifully furnished in the traditional Victorian style, claw-foot tub and the most comfortable beds ever. The grounds include an old barn inhabited by a barn owl who remains nameless until a competition among guests makes the final decision. The breakfasts, served by Pam and cooked by Larry were out of this world, definitely gourmet quality. We can't wait for the cookbook to come out. Larry would come into the dining room and recommend wineries, mark our maps and give us suggestions for lunch and dinner. We enjoyed sipping wine with our hosts in the evenings and telling tails that led to breathless laughter. I would highly recommend the Gables and plan to stay again during the fall when the grapes are being harvested. We all had a fabulous stay and so will you.
